#55-Michael Waltrip and his three Sprint Cup Series, #44-Dale Jarrett and #00-David Reutimann teams will pay tribute to the golden anniversary of the Daytona 500 on Sunday by starting the 50th running of The Great American Race sporting specially-designed gold wheels.
Following the 200-lap event, the wheels will be autographed and sold to raise money for charities supported by the France family. The Waltrip teams will run the gold wheels only for the start of the race, moving back to their traditional chrome wheels after the first round of pit stops.

I am deafened by that sucking sound coming from Mikey Waltrips lips!!!
By the way does anyone know what that white thing is Toyota was giving away
in the grab bags today at the race?
BLING!
I THINK THAT MIKEY, D.J. AND DAVID HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA TO RUN THE
GOLD RIMS. THEY WILL MAKE A GOOD BIDDING ITEM FOR SOMEONE THAT
really gets into mikey’s team. maybe i will win them all. GO MIKEY, D.J. AND DAVID.
YOU ARE ALL GREAT.
MWR sucks and will always suck
gold wheels?!?. why not have air-ride on the cars as well haha. go figure
lift the cars…put hydraulics on them..have the gold wheels be spinning..have black music blasting from inside..and mikey’s wearing a backwards baseball hat, holding up a peace sign and grilling everybody with gold teeth.
GIVE ME A BREAK, lol
It’s Gold Powder coated wheels to celebrate the Golden anniversary of the race. The same wheels that HMS and some other teams were planning on running and might end up running, until the first pit stop.
Where will they be auctioning/selling the wheels?
IDK, but I’m sure the info will be up on http://www.michaelwaltrip.com/
