Morgan McClure to Compete Full Schedule with Wimmer in Nextel Cup Next Year
Quote selected text Published August 29th, 2006 in NASCAR NewsIn light of recent rumors regarding the status of his operation, Larry McClure, President and Team Manager of Morgan-McClure Motorsports, Inc. announced Monday that his familiar #4 team will compete full time in the Nextel Cup Series in 2007.
“We currently have an agreement in place for our #4 car for next season and an announcement is forthcoming,” said McClure. “Additionally, we are in negotiations with a prospective partner for a long-awaited second team. We have a viable team here with the necessary components for success, including our driver Scott Wimmer, and it is our intention to have Scott in one of our cars next year. The 2007 season will mark our 25th year in NASCAR’s top series and we’re excited about what’s in store for Morgan-McClure Motorsports.”
