More rain at Michigan on Monday-race in delay-UPDATED 2

The rain has started to fall again. The dryers are out trying to redry the track in hopes of getting the race in today.

NASCAR is drying the track is hopes of getting an early afternoon start to the race. Stay tuned for updates.

More rain is falling at Michigan today and the race is once again in a delay.

On SPEED’s NASCAR Now, NASCAR’s Robin Pemberton says the plan is to try to run today, if not, then try Tuesday, then Wednesday at 10:00am/et.

The forecast for Monday : Periods of rain with a few thunderstorms likely. High near 65F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Rainfall may reach one inch. Localized flooding is possible. Chance of Precip 100%; for Tuesday, August 21, the forecast looks better: Isolated thunderstorms in the morning followed by a few showers in the afternoon. High 77F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

    Heard it’s postponed until tomorrow morning now. Maybe I’ll remember to set my TiVo tonight! Forgot last night, until I was sitting here at work thinking about it and it was too late. I guess I’ll get a second chance to get it right :)
