Montoya not ready for Kansas race, continues to test

Hopes that Juan Pablo Montoya would begin his stock-car racing career at Kansas Speedway have apparently ended.
There just wasn’t enough time to get Montoya, who has been driving Formula One cars since leaving the CART series in 2001, ready for the coming weekend of racing at Kansas.
Montoya spent Monday testing ARCA cars for team owner Chip Ganassi at Talladega Superspeedway. He will also practice in ARCA cars Friday at the new Iowa Speedway, which means he will not be able to participate in Busch series practice at Kansas that day.
When might he get in a stock-car race?
“We’re actually taking it one day at a time,” Ganassi said Monday.
