Mechanicsburg driver Kimmel killed in Sprint Car wreck
Quote selected text Published September 4th, 2007 in NASCAR NewsMechanicsburg native and race car driver Billy Kimmel, 27, was killed in an accident at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA on Sunday night [9-2]. Kimmel was flown via Life Lion to Harrisburg Hospital after the accident, where he was pronounced dead at 11:51pm/et, according to the hospital.
The hospital said Kimmel was alive at the scene, but crews had to begin CPR while he was in flight. Kimmel was on lap 24 of the 25-lap 410 Sprint car feature when the accident occurred in turn three.

His family is in our prayers. Always hate to hear of a driver being killed. Even though u don’t know them its like losing a family member.
