Max SiegelExcept for an amazing ability to adapt there’s no reason Max Siegel should be where he is. He’s from Indiana- not exactly NASCAR country.

He’s the product of a broken home. When he was five, his father abducted Siegel and his sister and told them their mother was dead. Later, his mother and stepfather were alcoholics.

Seigel looks back remembering, “They were able to function and work, and carry on, heavy drinkers, every day.”

Siegel persevered and went to college, then law school, found himself working in the gospel music industry.

Later, he worked with secular artists like Britney Spears, Usher, N’Sync and R Kelley .

A startling change, because he says he hated music due to his family background.

Today, Siegel finds himself in yet another unlikely situation - as president of NASCAR’s Dale Earnhardt, Incorporated.

This guy is black, Jewish and he runs DEI. He almost sounds like the entire Rainbow Coalition that Jesse Jackson always talks about. He’s a one man gang of real diversity!

  3. 3 Steve

This guy knows nothing about the good old guys that started Nascar.
he is by no means a good old boy but I say give him a chance he to
prove himself he tried very hard to keep Jr. and work the deal to
keep Jr. at DEI. Give the man a break it doesnt matter what color
he is. He is a man trying to get a job done .

If you’re talking to me Steve, I didn’t say anything bad about his skin color, race or religious beliefs. He talked about his ethnicity and stuff like that. He did a great interview a few months ago and said a lot. I just said he IS real diversity. He was brought in a long time ago because TEI herself never intended to pay Junior. Max is there because he’s an entertainment guy. TEI will need to generate revenues to make up for Junior’s leaving. Hence the movie, recording and similar venues TEI and Max talked about recently. Jesse Jackson always talks about diversity when he sees a tv camera. He strong armed Miller to give a local, black, short track racer $200,000 in sponsorship money about 5 years ago. He also cried racism when he tried to finagle the people at Bud/A-H pertaining to a distributorship. His sons now have the most lucrative Bud deal in the Chicago market. Max isn’t attractive to Jesse yet because Max has a mind of his own. Jesse only wants those he can manipulate.
