Marlin says Ginn is leaving him ‘hanging’

Sterling Marlin says he has had calls from other teams but can’t drive for any team until he gets issues resolved with former employer Ginn Racing.
“The deal caught me by surprise,” the 50-year-old Marlin said. “I had a contract with them. … I understand they’ve got a lot of problems over there.
“A couple of guys called, but I can’t do nothing. Part of your contract, if you drive somebody else’s car, you null and void your contract. So I’ll sit and wait here and see what the lawyers say.”
Marlin said the team still owes him money, and while he won’t like to sit around and wait, he will.
“I haven’t talked to Bobby [Ginn]. [They] haven’t returned calls to my lawyers,” Marlin said. “They’re kind of just leaving me hanging. … I’d like to get something worked out and at least finish the year out with somebody if I could.”

While I have never really liked Sterling, this is not fair the way they have been treating him over @ Ginn Racing. He was supposed to stay through the end of the season, and they had to cut him early b/c of financial hardships. But iff they will not let him drive the rest of the season in one of their cars, or let him go to another team, then they need to give him the money he would earn as iff he were still there. They cut him and still can’t pay him for what he’s worth or let him go to another team? That is not fair. And that is the straight talk
If there contract was till the end of this season than they leagely still owe him $ till then inless there is a lack of performance clause (loop hole) in the contract Eather way if there not going to give him a car to race for the rest of the year then they should release him to find another ride.
It’s against the law to stop a man from working. He has a right to work. I can’t believe Merlin is worried about the contract! If they clearly did not live up to their end of the agreement, he’s pretty much off the hook. He hasn’t done crap in years and has made a lot of money for being ineffective. Life has been pretty good to him. He should count his blessings. Last time I checked, there was not a big market for washed up drivers 50 and older. If there was, Texas Terry, Elliott and Schrader would top the list - not Merlin.
who is merlin?
A lot of people call him Sterlin Merlin. It’s easier to say. We know it’s Marlin. Maybe calling him Merlin means they want him to be magical like the magician. Maybe he could disappear? Ginn has done a good job of that already if you think about it.
just release him fron the contract and let him go. No sense in holding onto a lame duck, let alone 2 of them?
That ain’t Ginn hanging him…it’s father time.
Give it time and things get better for you sterling ,
