All depends if in the craftsman contract it says that craftsman is the ONLY brand of tools to be sponsored in NASCAR.

Hate to get off topic here, but since you brought it up ATT was/is Wrong and they shouldnt be on the car.

Actually, they SHOULD be on the car. When ATT absorbed Cingular, they also got any and all contracts. ATT was grandfathered onto the car, just like Alltell (and should verizon buy Alltell, then we should see a red V on a black hood). As for NASCAR not allowing Motorola on Robby’s car, thats just ridiculous. Motorola is not a service provider. they are a cell phone manufacturer, and MAKE NEXTEL PHONES. they also make radios, pagers, to mention a few things. soo for NASCAR to sue, just shows how immature they are and how they can’t even get their own contractual language correct

Looks like everyone who responds here has intimate knowledge of the contracts and they all must have law degrees.

i will admit, i DON’T have a law degree. however, i’m using my noodle here. perhaps i AM wrong about the ATT portion. however, i do beleive i’m correct about the Motorola bit.

Yeah the Motorola thing was stupid, but I think the reason they did that was because Motorola came to RGM as a package deal with Verizon for the RGM Busch team.
