I would have loved to have been sitting in the city of concord meetings after that were they were discusing just what they have done, "Where are going to loss our biggest income." then somebody says "No new taxes, instead how do we get they back.". So following that, the city gives Smith and SMI incentives to hopefully get him to stay and let's name a street after him. Finally, according to this article above, Smith has instead of moving the speedway to Charlotte or my pick to North Wilkesboro, he will keep the speedway in its current spot and he gets upwards of $70 Million in incentives. Wow, the city of Concord is now right back were they started and the city has just paid for the legal fees and the new drag strip. What a deal. Oh brother...
