Lowe’s also bans the 14 banned Talladega fans

Unruly fans banned from Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway after pelting Jeff Gordon’s car with beer cans and debris last Sunday also are being punished in North Carolina.
Fans charged with disorderly conduct following Gordon’s win at the 2.66-mile track — the win that allowed him to surpass Talladega favorite Dale Earnhardt Sr. on the series all-time win list with 77 — are permanently banned from races at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, track president H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler said.
“We join other tracks in prohibiting fans who threw objects at Talladega from buying tickets for our races,” Wheeler said. “This is not only a crime but a terrible thing to do.”

I’m happy to see this, but still want to know if they’re
going to start checking ID’s at the gates….how else can they
successfully ban these 14???
I’m banning them too! None of these losers is ever invited to any barbecues at my place!
these people must be pretty proud of themselves. look at all the issues theyre causing!!! i would be walking around with a bag over my head!!
they should put a sign at the ticket window reading “NO MORONS ALLOWED!”
Still don’t understand how you can ban those 14, when there are 150,000+ at most races. Seems to me that if they wanted to go and not act stupid they could easily assimilate into the crowd.
how they are banned is at the at-track ticket offices. They can still use places like ticketmaster or friends with credit cards to get into the races.
maybe banning them isn’t the most effective thing, I mean, it’s a good start and I
am in no way bashing it. But you can get tickets from ebay, anywhere. Still, though,
maybe it will keep some of the idiots at bay and keep them from throwing crap.
Its not like they killed anyone. They’re getting plenty of punishment even if they can still get tickets throught a third party. I bet they’ll be low key if they do manage to sneak into a track.
It is crazy they have to resort to this. Maybe everyone learned a lesson and won’t do again. Next thing track owners will do is ban bringing in coolers and jack up prices of beer even more. That will truly tick the fans off since they already charge an arm and a leg for tickets and camping.
Maybe they’ll post their mugshots at each track and ask if you have seen this moron.
