Logano will drive 5 Cup races for HOF this fall

Joey Logano will drive in seven Sprint Cup races this fall as a tuneup before the 18-year-old star begins his full-time ride at Joe Gibbs Racing.
Logano, who will replace two-time Cup champion Tony Stewart in the No. 20 Toyota in 2009, will make his Sprint Cup debut Sept. 6 at Richmond International Raceway in the No. 02 Toyota prepared by Gibbs. JGR will also field a car for Logano at Atlanta in October.
Hall of Fame Racing announced Wednesday that Logano will then drive in the No. 96 Toyota in five more races: at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sept. 14, at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 28, at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Oct. 11, at Martinsville Speedway on Oct. 18 and at Texas Motor Speedway on Nov. 2.
Hall of Fame Racing gets its engines and chassis from Gibbs’ race team.
“We appreciate Hall of Fame Racing helping us get Joey ready for 2009,” said president J.D. Gibbs. “They came to us with the idea before the August Michigan race and we think it’s a great win-win for all of us.”
- Logano to make Cup debut at Richmond?
- Logano the front-runner to replace Tony Stewart at JGR
- Logano could run some Busch Races in ’08
- Joey Logano on ESPN Networks Wednesday
- NASCAR may lower minimum age for Busch Series

Heck, might as well… I don’t even know who’s been in the #96 since they let JJ go. Oh I just looked it up - Schrader drove last week, but PJ Jones and Brad Coleman have also driven it in one race since Yeley got the axe.
This seems like a win-win for everyone. It gets Logano some experience without Gibbs having to divert many resources to prepping a 4th car and it gives HoF Racing some good publicity for the races Logano is in the seat.
Yep this rumour has been going around for awhile
as Jeff said, its a win win for everyon
lets see who gets taken out of the chase by the rookie……
not that i hope it happens but it will hes good but hes still a n00b when it comes to cup

sorry for the double post but…
if the chace is suposed to be the equivalent of the playoffs, WHY should someone whos NEVER run in cup before even be allowed to race in the playoffs? I mean yeah it wouldnt be to win but it could also screw those who are in it to win in
This is a mistake! He may be the most talented young driver to come along in a while, but he not ready for cup.
I dont think its a big deal he cant do any worse than half the knuckle heads who have been racing for years in cup who cause wrecks every week
But whos to say if hes ready or not hes been racing for years, hell they take a kid straight out of high school basically send him off to war,im sure he’ll be fine and respect others and not get in anybodies way.
BEST THING HE COULD DO IS WRECK BABY SCRUB HEAD

What happens is say I click on this page, after it loads it’ll go from ARS to that page in the screen capture, and you have to press the back button to get back to ARS and then press the stop button before that other page loads.

I agree with you the most. Yes it’s going to be his first race(s). But
he isn’t your ordinary questionable rookie, he defenitely has
some weight under his belt. He’ll be fine.
looks like the problem is gone on my browser…thank you
I think your domain just expired and the admin had to
renew it?
It’s fine here too now.
Coleman got screwed. Does he even have a ride in any series now?
