Like it or not, Busch is dominating NASCAR, and this is only the beginning

This past Sunday the NASCAR Nationwide series went south of the border to Mexico for the fourth year in a row. In the now-annual road course race, Kyle Busch outdrove the rest of the field and won. Again.
In what has become the status quo in NASCAR’s three most prominent series - Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series - Kyle Busch has been found in victory lane at the end of the race. In what is truly a remarkable feat, Busch is in second place, third place and first place in the series respective standings. In doing so he has compiled a total of six wins this season.
What is unique about what Busch is doing is keep that a driver of his skill level generally will only compete in the Sprint Cup - NASCAR’s top series. A handful of drivers from Sprint Cup will compete in the Nationwide Series or the Craftsman Truck Series. A rough comparison is Major League Baseball’s farm system, where Sprint Cup is “the show” and the Nationwide Series is AAA, and so on. While some of the top drivers will occasionally appear in the other series races, it’s usually just to gain extra practice on a track or simply just for fun - not to compete for its championship.
With Busch starting off so hot in all three series, the possibility that he could win multiple championships could be truly special. At this point he has run the races on all the schedules, but come championship season, time and commitment conflicts could arise. Right now though, we should just take a step back and give credit to Busch who is rapidly becoming one of the top rising stars in the sport.

Like him or not, he’s a monster on the track! Amazing what a move to JGR has done for this kid… Don’t know if it’s that he’s not playing second fiddle to JJ/JG or what, but he’s really taken off this year. Seems to me that he’s still aggressive and driving every lap like it was the last, but he’s not as reckless as he was in the past.. Maybe that’s just me though.
yea kyle busch may be good but jr is gonna dominate talladega WOOOHOOOO goo 88!!! hes the man….
He maybe is in the nationwide series, big deal a different cup driver does that every year thats nothing new as far as the cup series hes not having any better year than burton or jr etc. yeah hes got 1 win only because edwards broke…

Oh no, please no… not again.
I have been a fan of Kyle Busch since BEFORE he raced in the Sprint/Nextel Cup.
He is an AMAZING driver with so much potential.
It’s about time he gets some recognition.

Please stay on subject, I hear too much about him already and I don’t want to go to a non-Jr. subject and see his name imprinted somewhere where it shouldn’t! To stay on subject I actually like him more than Kurt. He seems to have a better handle with the car and even though he seems to be still wreckless on the track he is improving and not wrecking a lot like he has in the past. Give him time and he will be one of the best on the track every weekend and getting multiple wins.
My comment above ^^^ just so you know.
And I meant to quote GordonOwnz Lol. Making errors left and right.
he need sto stay in the trucks/nationwide, hes gonna hurt someone in cup, hes just too damn eradic
Keep in mind that he is only 22 …..The best thing that ever happened to him was leaving Hendrick and the clones…..Imagine what he will do in the next ten years!
I don’t like Kyle Busch. He’s too full of himself and one of these days he is going to end up hurting himself or someone else.
“This is only the beginning”
You never know it will continue as strong as
it is now. Look at Ryan Newman, how many wins
and poles and what not did he rack up in 2003?
I believe he had 8 wins. He had a very successful
season and now he isn’t much of top contender.
He’s there week in and week out, but not pushing
for wins every time. Not saying Kyle will flutter later
on, but it’s not like we should assume it will always
be like this.
Come on rowdy,Jr. is and will always be the subject. This is NASCAR.JR. RULES,Ky.Busch cries even when he wins.I think he has his helment special made to get his huge head in there.
Kyle Busch has beginners luck that’s all, he’ll fall down before chase time !!! ☺ ☺ ☺

My sentiments exactly. He has great abilities and a lot of potential but his mouth and attitude wipes out any good will he gets from his skills.
He is and always will be a shrub in a forest of trees…
He still lacks the patients required by the cup series but hopefully he will learn that. In my eyes he will always be the one who let his team down by leaving the race track while the crew was putting the car back together.
What will he do after his first concussion? Hitting the wall really hard has a way slowing anyone down.
I agree with goneSouthern. A lot of talent but… The only difference between Bush and
Shrub is Bush wants everyone to like him and Shrub could care less.
You know I like Junior but HE DOES NOT RULE NASCAR! I’m glad he’s taking away from the clones at HMS. Talk about funny….that is funny. Shrub/Rowdy/Kyle will grow up. I think Denny helps him some being older by 5 years he has set a good example by not being stupid. Look at Smoke he was erratic in his earlier years but he has become more patient. Joe Gibbs has been the best thing for Smoke and for Kyle. Rick Hendrick doesn’t want to deal with anyone mercurial it’s his loss and believe me he should have punted Mears not Kyle to make room for Junior. Personally this is looking more like a battle between RCR/JGR and Carl Edwards/Greg Biffle for the title. Maybe Jimmie will contend and maybe Junior will contend but until Junior starts winning races my verdict is still out on him. Consistency is one thing it will take wins during the chase to win the title as we saw with Jimmie last year. It may very well take that with the competitiveness we see now.

you guys are something else, you know how many drivers in the garage can hop in a truck, a nationwide car, and a cup car and drive the wheels off them like Kyle, a handful maybe. everyone one of those machines handle differently, everyone is setup differently and it takes talent to win like Kyle is doing.
as far as him hurting someone you better look at someone else because if NASCAR thought for a minute he was reckless out there he would be in the hauler. their is nothing wrong with his driving, he is the most talented driver out there. and when we saw him at 18 we all said this kid is good.
just because he is beating your favorite driver dont go saying all the crap you say about him, if you cant say anything good about a driver maybe you should try racing at 190mph inches from the wall or another car.
This has nothing to do with my favorite driver because my favorite driver was dale sr. he was way more wreckless overall, however he drove with talent, kyle just looks really wrong on the track to me. I didnt say he was a bad driver ,by no means is that true and no one can deny that fact based onstatistics, I just personally feel he isnt doing it right and sooner or later if he keeps it up, even with the new car i feel someone is gonna get hurt. However I also feel montoya will probably hurt someone first, has he gone a race without wrecking someone?

Shrub couldn’t care less, that answer cracks me up, you go Linda!!! ☺

That’s cause he’s not Dale Sr, but I doubt he will ever be, it will be very, very hard to duplicate Dale Sr… ☺

Dales the man and will always be the man of nascar, but sorry to say, Dale would be pi**ed off today cause there are too many rules, nascar is not nascar anymore, somewhat boring to watch on TV, but in person more exciting than TV… ☺ ☺ ☺

Ehh.. I keep encouraging myself to hate the fans, not the driver.
RedDevil, you shouldn’t hate anyone ,that word isn’t polititly correct, you should say I dislike him or not a fan of his and/or his fans.NOT!! I Love to Hate Ky.Busch and his Brother!!!!
Howie : Whats up with the praise and love for the Shrub???
I thought your best dud (sorry thats spelled BUD) was Robby Gordon, you know the guy you SAID you were going to go hangout with at his house this week.
I re-posted this JUST for you so you can remember what is being said about your buddy…If you can read between the lines nobody said he does not have talent and can drive in all 3 series, thats a given. He just hasn’t learned to be a “good driver” there is a big difference that you fail to recognize.

I didnt’ read the article or comments. I do know this young man is a Huge Idiot on and off the track. He can win every race and Championship for the next twenty years and he will still be disliked and win the award for Idiot and A__ ____
Could not have said it better, well said gonesouthern, well said.
After shrub wrecks really hard a few times he will not be as fast. It has happened to lots of drivers and it will happen to him as well.

Sam, whats with this thing with drivers getting hurt, you know wrecks are something that really no one really likes to see or hear about in racing no matter who they are, i was there for Neil, Sr, Adam, and Kenny as well as Eric Medlen and alot of others. wrecks have ruined guys like Steve Park, Ricky Craven, Jerry Nadeu, Ward burton, Ernie Irvin, and alot of others, if you think that Kyle needs to get into a wreck to slow him down you need to be watchin another sport. I sat there and watched as Kenny t-boned Sr. and the fans were cheering until the word came out that we lost Sr. and the same men were crying later that night and hangin their hats on the turn 4 fence and goin to get flowers at 9 at night to put up on turn 4.
uhhh what? So, you think if he has a bad wreck it will not slow him down? Do I want him to get hurt? No? Do I think he is reckless? YES!! It changes a driver if has a hard wreck and that is all I am saying. It is nothing that many race analyst have already said.
