Kyle Busch’s winning Daytona Busch car fails post-race inspection

The springs for the race-winning Winn-Dixie 250 car of Kyle Busch failed postrace inspection Saturday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway.
Any penalties will be announced next week.
NASCAR has taken the front springs from the car, NASCAR spokeswoman Tracy Judd said. NASCAR rules require the left-front spring rate to be no less than 800 pounds, and the right-front no less than 1500 pounds. The car exceeded both of those spring rates but was within the 3,000-pound total spring rate, Judd said.

What the heck?!?! First he passes in the grass which is questionable at best…then they fail post race inspection AGAIN!! At least this time there is no way they can claim its a problem with the new COT rules.
if theirs one rule you do not mess with in NASCAR it is those spring rates
Yes, Theres just something in the air isnt it? Im nto to sure about this though, because it is a disadvantage, Im not sure why on a aero track Nascar would even brign up this infraction. I work with Mason Motorsports and the chassis department, we are a arca team; and everyone knows your trying to get your sprigns to be tempermental to get them lower on the aero tracks, with him being above I would just wonder how the car was loose enough and fast enough to win the race. You guys shouldnt jump and call him a cheater, its jsut Nascar is trying to be stiff on all rulebreakers, even if its a disadvantage.
If the left Ft. was to be no less than 800# and they exceded that and the right ft. was to be no less than 1500# and they exceded that and they were with in the overall weight where is the rule infraction ??
To me exceded means going over, and unless I miss read and what they ment was they were less than 800 & 1500 waht was wrong.
anyone explain..
Anomymous:
Is that Mike Masons team from hooters Pro Cup if so I saw him race in Bakersfield, very good driver. When will Kevin Harvick put him in a bush car?
Yeah that doesn’t make any sense…
Wow, so you’re supposed to sensor yourself on this site, dums__t.
If he just got caught the week before, why on earth would he do it a
second week in a row, atleast intentionally? I’m starting to wonder
if it’s something with the springs and not cheating. And don’t for
one second think I’m a Hendricks supporter; usually I think he’s the
dirtiest player in the game. But he’s not stupid and he wouldn’t let
his teams do that intentionally two weeks in a row, especially not with
the same driver.
how did they get through all of the other inspections?
this just seems fishy to me and i thought the teams got their springs from nascar.
This makes me wonder. Suppose Hendrick is telling someone on Kyle’s team to mess up the springs on purpose? Yeah, in my opinion that would be stupid, but for some reason I wouldn’t put it past him. Especially after some of the post cup race comments Kyle made.
First cup, now Busch? He needs to be parked, period.
