Kyle Busch wins Truck race in California
Quote selected text Published February 23rd, 2008 in NASCAR NewsIt doesn’t matter what kind of car Kyle Busch is driving these days, he’s tough to beat.
The 23-year-old racer added a victory Saturday in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Auto Club Speedway to his runner-up finish in the truck race last week at Daytona. He also finished second in the Daytona Nationwide Series event and fourth in the Daytona 500.
“This is the start to, hopefully, a three-peat this weekend,” said Busch, who was also scheduled to race Saturday night in the Nationwide race and will compete Sunday in the featured Auto Club 500 Sprint Car event on the 2-mile oval.

Kinda wondering where all the brainiacs are at , that were on here saying Kyle Busch isnt qualified to be in Nascar. He might have a quirly personality and drive a little out of control , but he’s quickly becoming one of the drivers that can win every race he is in.
ok hes winning in the truck series…..WOW MAN..HOLY CRAP!!! that makes him like the awesomist driver out there….the series where all the drivers go that cant succeed at the Cup or Nationwide level….just to name a few…BENSON, BODINE, SKINNER, GAUGHN…need i say more????? yet beating those drivers is a serious challenge…give me a break…kyle is a good driver…but he doesnt know when to turn it on and when to turn it off…he goes 150% all the time…if he would stop doing that and be more careful…the kid could have some serious potential
darrell or your other brother darrell…didn’t Greg Biffle win the truck series?
Kurt Busch won in the truck series and won a championship. Some drivers win Busch series championships and can’t win in the big leagues, so they leave their team and change their number.
Can’t figure out why any team owner in any NASCAR series would want to let either of the Busch brothers drive their cars/trucks. Also why would a high paying sponsor want to support them. They are both jerks and dirty drivers. I certaintly wouldn’t want them to represent me or my company.
Bodine won 15 Busch series races. To sit there and say its not hard to beat the truck regulars is pretty laughable. They drive trucks all year and whats Busch do? Maybe runs a hand full of truck events a year and can win.

Just a side note but did you watch closely in the last 2 laps. Kyle was driving that truck like he was trying to see where it would wreck. Not with the sage knowledge of a better driver that would have know he was going to win if he just keep it in front without taking UNNESSARY CHANCES like Kyle was.
Kyle was so close to wrecking at every point in those last 2 laps any small thing would have put him out and ruined the teams chance for the win.
That type of unnessary pushing the limit is the difference between a great driver and a lucky kid.
Bob Kyle drove that way the whole race. He likes really loose cars. And also Kyle Busch doesnt get paid to drive the truck or take any of the winnings, he does it because he wants to race. Say what you want of the Busch brothers but they have talent and can win races, thats why people let them drive for them.
MAS your funny…seriously like ive never heard that other brother joke b4 in my life…unoriginal if u ask me……….you want to bring up Greg Biffle…hes terrible and prob will be the driver Roush lets go at the end of the season to accomodate his 4 car rules….and as for Kurt Busch….2004 was a fluke…he lucked into that title and you know it….had it not have been for Dale Jrs little mishap in that corvette where he got burned…he wouldnt have had to miss basically 5 races and lose the points lead he had…yeah Dale Jr was the points leader in 2004…look it up if u dont beleive me…had it not been for that, Dale Jr would have been 100%…and if he would have kept his mouth shut in victory lane at Talladega that same year during the chase he wouldnt have forfieted his pts lead to Kurt….
and im pretty sure your reply was just an attack on Dale Jr…so you can talk all you want…i really could careless he left DEI for a reason and you know why…i guess a driver that wins 17 races just isn’t qualified to be considered a good driver…even tho hes won just as many races as Jeff Burton give or take a few….and burtons been out there double the time JR has….so talk all you want but the facts are what matters my friend…not your uneducated opinion
I don’t consider myself a Kyle Busch fan, but I admire his driving style. He continuosly runs on the edge
of wrecking, and gets away with it. Like or not like him, he’s fun to watch.
Mark my words, this kid is what greatness is made out of.
If Biffle is so terrible , why has every major team tried to hire him away from Roush? AND , to get back to my original point , Kyle Busch has finished in the top 5 in every race so far this season. Truck , Cup and Busch.
