Kyle Busch followed his Friday night Truck Series win with a victory Saturday in the Busch Series, giving him a chance Sunday in the Nextel Cup event to become the first driver to sweep all three of NASCAR’s national series at the same track on the same weekend.

Regardless of what people think of Kyle as a person, and I am not a fan of his, so don’t get me wrong. But, he is one the four or five most talented drivers on the circuit. His performance at Eldora this summer is a prime example of his prolific talent. People also forget he is only 22, my mentality at that age probably sucked as well so cut him some slack. Everyone complains about the influx of open wheel talent, how much they dislike the Busch brothers, and I am guilty of disliking Johnson. But, even in the “good old days” I can’t remember seeing the level of talent I see today. Cup’s ten most talented drivers truly are some of the most talented in the world, because everyone wants to be here. Its impressive when you think about it. And we still get to see and Earnhardt on the track.
Kyle Busch is another driver I don’t like, but I would love to see him do it today. Obviously, I’m cheering for Gordon, but this kid has a chance to make history, and he’s still got a promising career ahead of him. He won’t hold a candle to Jeff, Dale, David, Cale, or Richard, but he is awesome. Plus @ this point, I will pull for anyone (including Tony) to finish ahead of Jimmie.
I think that If Kyle Busch can pull it off that it would be great!! He is a awsome driver! Maybe not as good as TOny Stewart But he will learn from him next year!! So go Kyle!!! Beat Jimmie!!
Hope he crashes on lap 1 and doesn’t do it.
The only History this Kid will make in my eyes is being a Jerk following in his brother’s footsteps. One day, he will get someone killed on the Track.
