Kyle Busch steals show at NASCAR Awards Banquet…for all the wrong reasons

Kyle Busch began the season on the wrong side of several Nextel Cup drivers and ended it on the wrong side of his girlfriend.
Whoever she is.
OK, so maybe the girlfriend isn’t mad at Busch in the way Tony Stewart was after their run-in at the opener at Daytona International Speedway. But she had to be a little miffed when the second-year Cup driver referred to her as Eva instead of Erica.
Ouch!
Busch’s slip of tongue was the comedic highlight of Friday night’s banquet honoring 2006 champion Jimmie Johnson, the other nine drivers in the championship chase and 11th-place Stewart at the historic Waldorf-Astoria grand ballroom.
Busch took almost as much grief for the mistake as he did for his aggressive driving at the Daytona 500, when Stewart suggested he was out of control.
From banquet host/comedian Jay Mohr to team owner Rick Hendrick, the Busch-bashing continued for the duration of the three-hour black-tie affair.
“Kyle, I don’t believe I can help you with this one,” said Hendrick, who had a heart-to-heart with his driver early in the season to teach him the importance of respecting competitors.
Mohr was the first to pile on Busch, saying, “Last year, you were the rookie of the year. This year, you are in the Chase. Next year, what are you going to do for a girlfriend?”

i might be wrong about the 500 thing i said but thats just funny how can you make a mistake like that making a completely different pronounciation that her real name…..cheater cheater cheater!
yah eva is his brothers wife i think. ppl say that it was intentional because at kurts wedding the preacher called kurt “kyle”.

i dont like the busch boys, they are decent drivers, even if he didnt slip up, hes still an idiot, just making a slip up makes him more an idiot then he is, ive never seen such arrogant ppl like the busch bros, there parents had brought them up with a semi trailor, similar to the cup trailors, and towing homes in the front, big trucks, pulling there legends around, separate, which means they had two trailors, and they were crying poverty that they had no money, when niether of there parents worked, and they spent every night racing till winter, and when there wasnt a race, which was rare, yeah i appreciate that there decent drivers when they arent idiots or running into ppl, but other that i dont really like them, well yeah thats it, hey go to Polenzmotorsports.com, my names David Polenz, check my car out and my racing and stuff, and im only 15 yrs old, remember the name-david polenz

Alright its time to leave the Busch brothers alone. The both have cleaned up their attitudes and have become likeably guys.
I have met Kyle and Erica three times…they are great people!!!!
Kyle has done more for NASCAR in the past year. Than anyone else has in the past 25 years. Go Kyle, run every lap to lead, run every race to win. If only NASCAR had 42 more drivers like you. How exciting racing would be. This tagging alone behind each other isn’t to exciting. I admire Kyle, If someone in front of him, forget the tagging behind he going to pass. This complaining about his driving style by the other drivers is only jalousy. If they had the skills they would do the same as Kyle.

Kyle is and always will be fearless and amazing. But I wouldn’t worry too much about Erica. She showed up at his side when he got really good. Trophy girlfriends don’t stick around long, unless drivers make more money. Eva or Erica, who cares? Kyle should enjoy the pretty girl on his arm as long as he can… she’ll be gone soon. I think its fitting that he forgot her name… would she care about him if he wasn’t THE Kyle Busch?? no! Enjoy it while it lasts, trophy… apparently you’re not memorable enough, if you know what I mean.
