Kyle Busch statement regarding his leaving Hendrick

Kyle Busch, driver of the #5 Chevry in the Nextel Cup Series for Hendrick Motorsports and four-time Nextel Cup race winner, will depart Hendrick Motorsports at the conclusion of the 2007 season. The following is a statement from Busch regarding the decision to leave:
“We had been working on a contract extension for me to remain at Hendrick Motorsports, but after prolonged negotiations, we mutually agreed that a fresh start was in order. I have been granted a release after the 2007 season. I have tremendous respect for Mr. Hendrick and everyone at Hendrick Motorsports. It’s where I grew up, and I have a lot of great memories. I kind of feel like I’m graduating. I’m excited about my future, and I know a lot of opportunities await because of what everyone at Hendrick did for me - on the track and off. I still have a job to do this year, and will give it my all - just as I’ve always done - to make sure we put the #5 car in victory lane a few more times before the year is out.”

back to roush? buw-hahahaha!
ITS SAYS PENSKE NOT ROUSH AND HE NEVER WAS WITH ROUSH STUPID PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY KNOW WHAT THERE TALKIN ABOUT ,,,HIS NAME IS KYLE NOY KURT
Yeah he was. Kyle debuted with Roush in the truck series!!
Yeah, Busch was in the gong show truck if I’m not much mistaken.
yep he was with Roush too!!
You are friggin’ idiots!!! Kurt Busch was with Roush not KYLE! Wow you are all officially retarded…
To Anonymous…
“friggin Idiots!” and “officially retarded” You really have some anger management issues don’t you? What an ass you just made of yourself…but I guess that must be your job???
Ginn Racing is the team that will take Busch. The 01 is going to be avaliable when Mark retires it, and Kyle might be the guy that would get the ride. I’m not shock that he’s the odd man out. He left his team and car at Texas, and he errogant. Its funny that we used to say that Kurt was more immature than Kyle, but its actually the other way around. Other than Dover Kurt has been mature and hasn’t done anything stupid. Kyle is a driver who thinks the race is going to be over in 1 lap. Also. Kyle was a prospect for Roush, but he saw a better deal at Hendrick and thats where he went. Much like the way Kasey Kahne was a prospect for Robert Yates, but Kahne decided to go to Everham. Which was the right choice.
thank you. “stupid people only think kurt was with roush, arrrrg, raaarr, lemme get another beer!” it’s official kyle is taking the 01? I thought MM was going to race part-time again next year? I thought I read that somewhere.
I bet he fip-flops with dale jr. and goes to DEI.
Dude, seriously, look it up. He drove a truck for Roush and that was
his first official Nascar ride.
Smooooooth.
KYLE busch made his crafstman truck debut for ROUSH when he was 16. he had to look elsewhere for a ride when nascar changed its minimum age from 16 to 18. KURT had already been at roush and had started racin in winston cup when KYLE made his first race appearence. kyle went to hendrick because roush didnt feel like waitin two years for kyle to become of age. certain people should get their facts straight before they go off on everybody else up here that knows wat really happened.
I don’t think Martin is coming back for another year, and if he does then it will only be a few races. Busch would like to probably drive for a team that is consistantly in the Top 10. Maybe Penske if he and Kurt can settle their differences. Penske has been running very well lately.
i thought penske wasn’t adding another car? and ga, you made me look it up…

Anyone who calls themself “Anonymous” should not be calling other people names.
Bushy boy will go to DEI.
thats a good point, he might go to DEI. However I still feel like he’s going to Ginn Racing. Joe Gibbs is probably another team we can count off the list.
umm “DRAMA” actually he was wit roush he had a development contract wit them in the truck series but ditched them for hendrick soon after.
I just hope Kyle learns to put his emotions in check. He’s a hot head and dosen’t know how to check his emotions and it has cost him in may races.
At 16, Kyle Busch competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Roush Racing as a replacement after the team’s two drivers were released midway in the 2001 season, and earned two top-10 finishes in six starts what was scheduled to be a full-season campaign for 2002. Due to his age, he was stopped from full season racing due to the sponsorship of WINSTON, making the series a tobacco sponsored event.
Soooo Kyle thinks he grew up at Hendricks and feels like he grauduated ? I think NOT ! Wherever he goes….he has some more growing to do ! WHEN he does he’ll be a driver to be reckoned with ! Good luck Jr. and Kyle !
He going to DEI , Its a done deal.
Hendrick is probably glad that Kyle Busch is gone. He’s not a team player and he always leaves his team when they need him the most. Prime examplei s a tTexsd earlier this year
Kyle Busch sealed his fate when he won the first COT race. It was supposed to be a great victory for Rick Hendrick, showing that he could dominate Nascar no matter what car they drove. But Kyle ruined that by acting like a baby in victory lane crying about how much he hated the COT. That attitude and demeanor is not what Rick Hendrick wants. We’ll find out the truth next year. Right now Kyle is saying the right things so he doesn’t get booted out of the 5 car early. But I think we’ll find out Hendrick didn’t try too hard to renegotiate that contract, and probably stopped trying altogether once Jr informed everybody he was leaving DEI.
wow
kyle busch on wrecking careers (and cars) 101
KyBu was most certainly at Roush. Kurt wound up in Jack’s doghouse at the time for not telling him his brother had other plans. Kurt claimed he had no knowledge of his brother leaving. I heard that Derrike Cope’s team needs a sponsor and a full time driver. I think KyBu would be a good fit there.
kyle did race trucks for roush early in his career.
Kyle Busch does not know what he has just thrown away. Maturity cost him one of the best rides in the business. He sure knows how to wreck his career…and alot of race cars…
I don’t think Kyle will end up at Ginn unless Marlin or Nemechek leaves or unless they start a new car. They’ve already been grooming Regan Smith for the 01, I expect that they’ll look to put him in that car full-time. I wouldn’t expect Marlin or Nemechek to have too many more years in their cars as they’re both near the end of their careers.
Far as Mark Martin I think that’s largely in his court on if/when he wants to park it. Ginn paid a lot of $ to get him there and I think if it were up to him, he’d get him to run the 01 full-time (actually had said that if Mark wanted to drive the car full-time when he was the point leader he’d put Regan Smith in a 4th car, which they’ve had him try to qualify at times as-is). It all really depends on what Mark wants to do.
DEI sounds like a good fit or Roush if Biffle leaves. There was some talk that Biffle might go wherever Pat Tryson ends up, and there was talk he was maybe going to DEI. That could leave the 16 car open for Kyle, assuming Biffle doesn’t resign with Roush. A lot of what people “say” they’re going to do (i.e. “I want to resign with Roush”) doesn’t always play out. Lord knows Rick Hendrick denied that he was after Dale Jr. because he had his 4 drivers and look what happened…
I also wouldn’t count out Toyota landing him either. It’d be a major coup for them if they landed Kyle as he’s got boatloads of talent even if he can be a colossal ignoramus at times. The way MWR has struggled I think he’d be a more legitimate talent for the 44 or 55 than both Mikey and DJ at this time. There’s also room at BDR and RBR for more cars… 2 a piece actually. Granted… I’m not sure if Kyle is Napa or UPS material though at MWR but I can’t see Kyle being a bad fit next to Allmendinger and Vickers, and he might be the strongest talent at Bill Davis next to Mayfield and Blaney.
I’m not a Kyle Busch fan but I don’t think anyone can argue with his raw driving talent. If they could find someone to mentor him in the way that Harry Hyde reigned in Tim Richmond, he could be a tremendous asset to just about any team. He’s almost a Childress-like driver in that he’s aggressive and brash, type of driver Richard was coined to saying he preferred (although I happen to like his pick of Jeff Burton a lot and lord knows Jeff is not stereotypical of a Childress driver). That can get him into heaps of trouble at times but it’s also a bit of what makes Kyle the talent he is too.
ive been told that they will flip and as far as the 01 its not gonna be busch or anyone else its gonna be regan smith smart ones!
Anonymous-If you’re the same “Anonymous” that keeps calling people
names, you’ve been proven wrong on every post. It’s not confirmed
that Regan will be in that car, nor has it been denied. Spongezilla
was just listing their view of the pros and cons of each situation.
Chill the hell out dude.
And the rumor of a flip-flop is just that;; a rumor. Why he would sign
with DEI, I don’t know. Just like Jr, he’s got more talent than that.
And I agree, Kyle can be an absolute prick on the track sometimes.
But I will argue to the day that he’s not a little prissy-fit throwing
brat off the track. Last year we met him shortly after a bad Busch
series qualifying run at Watkins Glen, and he was slightly depressed
over the run but was cordial and signed autographs down a long line
of people.
You all have to remember that Kyle has not had all of the chances to grow up and mature
at the lower levels like other drivers. He was moved up quickly. Give him a break, he is
still learning just like anyone that young is.
OK OK i heard that kyle did run with roush in the craftmen truck series.. i doesn’t need to be repeated 20 times to get through people’s heads.. now on topic.. busch may be still a kid but he does have alot of talent as much as i hate him… not even sure if jr. would do better in his ride.. we will wait and see.. jr is still riding with DEI till the end of the season though so don’t be dissing DEI!
When he grows up? Is that what he said? He’s such a punk on the track he has alot more growing up to do to be considered a true Nascar driver. I hate him, he sucks, and he looks like a bug!
i think biffle already has resigned with roush if im not mistaken
Thats correct, Biffle is going to resign with Roush. I think onw of the guys did say a good point with Busch going to Toyota. They mioght take BUsch. I forgot about Reagan Smith, I think he won’t go to Ginn Racing because they’ll have more than 4 drivers for next year.
let’s see a show of hands from anyone who driven any kind of race car much less a cup car, then start calling anyone with the skills and talent do so a punk!!! After the trucks K B went to ASA, (remember them) and late models until turning 18, then R H won the bedding war for him. Much like he tuck Jeffie away from Bil Davis after Davis took him out of sprint car, put him in a Bush car with verbal to race cup for him. The end of the verbal contract in NASCR and the start of the agents and attorney’s.
I heard Biffle was wanting to go to DEI?
BYE BYE, SEE YA, GOOD RIDDIN’S, LATER GATOR!
kyles frist ride in the bush was the 87 car not a hendricks car at lowes in 03 he ended up 2nd behind matt in that race hes young and a good driver so he will be a force to deal with for a long time to come
Who EVER takes Kyle..I wish them the best of luck! That kids has alot of growing up to do! Whoever takes him needs to put him over there Knee and whack him a couple times, letting Kyle know who is Boss and then let him drive a car! Good luck whoever gets him, he will be a handful!!
