Kyle Busch must keep his head to stay in The Chase

Seven more races and 1,800 laps, and the 12 drivers for the Chase for the Championship will be decided. The top seven in the points standings appear to be locked in. Based on his consistency, Kevin Harvick, in eighth place, should also be among the Chosen 12.
Kyle Busch, only 23 points behind Harvick, is a talented racer who also should make the Chase. He was runner-up at Daytona 2 weeks ago and has three top-10 finishes in his last six races.
However, Busch is showing signs that his lame-duck status at Hendrick Motorsports is affecting his racing. To make room for Dale Earnhardt Jr. next year, Rick Hendrick decided to release Busch, effective at the end of this season.
Before Sunday’s race at Chicagoland Speedway, Busch, 22, said team chemistry among himself, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Casey Mears was “really good” before the announcement that Earnhardt would join Hendrick.
Since then, Busch said: “It’s been real different. I’m just frustrated. [Now], I’m in the team meetings just sitting there listening. I don’t even really talk about what my car does, because they all seem to talk amongst themselves.”
That said, Busch added, “Everything is going to be fine.”

Hang in there Kyle. You are without a doubt a very talanted wheelman. For what it is worth HMS should have dumped Mears and kept you, now that would have been an awesome team. I think you are a unpolished chunk of coal but you will be a champion some day
kyle is the one screwing up, hes too concerned at where is he’s going to end up next yr. he just needsb to focus right now and make sure hendrick has a title shot this yr. all this concern is going through his head and affecting how he races in my opinion
yea just ride out this year kyle, remember their still your teamates til the very las lap at homestead. so work with them and they’ll help u.
24, 48, 25 need to lookup teammate in the dictionary. So what if he has a loose lip he can still drive a racecar better then most anybody else. Kyle is the odd man out but he is still a member of HMS and has a great shot at a championship. HMS most likley will sabatoge that, as they would look very stupid for shedding and shunning a champ
its kyle whose making hms look like its the bad guy, kyle saying this and that, he just needs to shut up cuase watever he saying is really making his teammates treat him as the outsider
As always the truth hurts. Like I said he will be a champ and HMS will be the fools. His mouth does get him in troubl that is true, but the attitude comes with mistreatment and youth. You can not deny he has the abilty to drive a race car. I can remember several others that were outspoken and brutally honest as well. (Stewart, R Wallace, Hamlin, Elliot, Big E and little E, just to name a few)
BTW, I am 58 yo and have been in several levels of racing since I was an 8 yo go-fer for my dad and his crew, So I do have a histroy of watching and participating. This does not make me an expert, but by no means am I an idiot. I am not a part time fan. You can say what you want to but I still believe that KB is a very exceptionial driver. He just needs some polishing.
What he needs is a swift kick in the butt and to learn that there is a time and place for everything but you never bite the hand that feeds you. We all must remember he did it to himself and i do realize he is one of the most talented drivers out there but does he realize everyone is watching especialy sponsors.
Sponsors are w-So what? I don’t agree with some of Busch’s
antics but by god is it good to see somebody doing something that
doesn’t revolve around the money end of this business. He wants to
win and he feels he’s getting cheated; even if he’s wrong atleast he’s
speaking his mind instead of pussyfooting around.
Ever notice the bitter hand not bitten just tightens its stranglehold
until finally something breaks?
I don’t hear Hendrick denying what Busch says.
kb can drive a car! right now he is just a butt hurt kid he will move on and grow up and get over himself. when he does that he will win alot more. until then wipe the tears!!
he should go cry on his girlfriends shoulder and say “i feel unwanted wahhhhh”
