Kyle BuschIt’s Kyle Busch…again.

The 23-year-old NASCAR star was dominant on the 2-mile oval at Auto Club Speedway Saturday night, leading 144 of the 150 laps to race off with his seventh Nationwide Series victory of the season.

Busch easily held off Sprint Cup rival Carl Edwards on a pair of late-race restarts, piling up his record 18th NASCAR victory of the season, including eight in the Cup and three in the Craftsman Truck Series.

This one was one of the easiest of the season as Busch gave Joe Gibbs Racing its 15th Nationwide win of the year, including a victory in the February race here by teammate Tony Stewart, who led 136 of 150 laps. It was also the first win for the Gibbs Nationwide team since it was hit with seven suspensions, big fines and the loss of championship points for cheating on a chassis dyno engines test following the Nationwide race at Michigan.

“These guys got a bad rap a few weeks ago for what happened, but they don’t deserve it,” said Busch, who started from the pole. “This one means a lot. These guys have had a lot of adversity on them the past few weeks.”

Busch said his No. 18 Toyota was “flawless, really amazing.

“I think the biggest challenge was just being good on the restarts and getting away,” he added. “It’s just fun to run like this.”

JASON ANONYMOUS, I know you love taken my name and acting like me, after all I cant blame you. but your right the magnets are off, and they had to DUMMY down the motors for all the other teams, and he still wins so I guess that rules out, the “cheating” cause he’s still winning.

cheating or no cheating doesnt matter….nascar should seriously rename this series the “Joe Gibbs Nationwide Series”….its pointless to watch anything Nascar related anymore….they also should limit the amount of races a FULL TIME CUP SERIES driver can run…not the full schedule, and like a 10 race limit…IMO, Brad K is the 2008 champion b/c hes the FULL TIME series driver…not in a cup car…

the same driver or team winning all the time is going to upset the fans regardless who it is…even if this was Dale JR winning all the time, it woudl still get old….everyone whined about HMS “dominating” last season in the CUP…which is wrong they were just there to pick up the peices when other teams faltered at the end…they didnt dominate on the track and you all know it…this JGR thing is just rediculous…i wish cehvy and ford had millions of $$$ like toyota does to just flood the nascar teams….its amazing how in 1 season u can go from being LAST and abrely making races to leading the pts and winning every single week…tell me that dont involve alot of $$$$CASH$$$$…w/e pointless to watch Nascar nowadays

Chevy spends just as much money on their top teams, example being Hendricks. They’ve already admitted spending at least 30 million on them alone, so don’t tell us that Toyota dollars don’t match Chevy dollars.

JGR speed is simply a combination of good engineers and good drivers.

This Toyota domination might seem to get old fast, but what has the other 3 manufacturers doing about it? It just proves how much they’re into it and how much they want to win. If there’s a power issue, sit down and regroup. It’s not that hard. Toyota engineers were given a handicap in their Nationwide engines, but only took them a week to figure it out and regain the power taken away. So why can’t Chevy, Ford, or Dodge do this?

I agree that if you are full time in cup you should not be able torun a full busch or truck series season. Brad K is the driver who deserves the championship (at this point in time anyway) but he may get robbed by a cup regular

  7. 7 Jason

He took the spacers out until after the race, and NO Rowdy, I am not using your name, I don’t do that kind of crap and I am not anonymous, I don’t go that way either.

  8. 8 Dan

I watched the race and I thought it was kind of boring.

You know Rowdy and Jason if you guys would take like the 30 seconds it takes to register you wouldn’t have to worry about other people using your name because it would say “registered user” next to each post that you make.

  10. 10 ROWDY BUSH

I agree the cup regulars shouldnt be allowed to win the championship, but think about it this way. these guys are on good teams and they are splitting there time between the cup and nationwide with the majority of there focus on the cup series. So I dont understand why someone like BRAD K isnt on top when he is obviously is on a top team and the nationwide series being his main focus, you would think he would be all over guys who do this part time. Also if you were to take the cup guys out, would you have the sponsor backing you would if they werent there. Also if there werent any cup guys would they even be able to fill a field and would the top teams even run in the series if they couldnt run a cup driver. So yeah it does get boring when all we see is the cup guys on top, but what would we have if they werent there. JUST A THOUGHT

Youll are killing me, Jimmy has dominated 1 race this year, as for him winnin a third championship, as I always say it is dumb for any of us to attempt to predict what will happen in the next 11 races. For Ex. last year everyone said Gordon was on his way to his 5th and Jimmy came and took it, so you’ll trying to predict is stupid. As for him dominating yes he did but guess what Kyle finished 7th. I guess you’ll are right it would be much better like it was last weekend when KB dominated and Jimmy finished 33rd. Jimmy has one good run and everyone flips out like hes back, everytime we hear this he follows it up with a run like he had lat weekend.

I love it youll thnk KB is doing bad when he had a 7th place finish, lol lol lol lol lol, got news for you’ll the 18 and the 99 are steadily clicking off top 10 finishes,

race with the big dogs lol lol lol lol, just in case you were confused Jimmy is third in point 369 pts behind the leader, now you can call whoever you want the big dog but normally its the person whos on top.

I love it how KB finishes 7th and youll act like he did horrible. your right top 10’s are bad. kb must be so disapponted with a 7th place finish.

Once again the cry babies are the ones on here talking trash about KB, when he has nothing to with the race at hand. By the way KB is a wheel man if anyone saw the last turn when he came off the turn 4 sideways saved it from hitting kasey who was passing him and kb stays in the gas and gets the spot back, that is a wheelman, yeah he finished 7th lol lol lol go dthats horrible

NO HES 30 POINTS OVER CARL AND 50 POINTS OVER JIMMY

  25. 25 Anonymous

Of Johnson’s 10 victories last year, four of them came in the 10-race Chase. He won just one race during his 2006 Chase, but that came in a five-race stretch when Johnson finished second the other four times. Both seasons ended in championships. Since the Chase was instituted in 2004, Johnson has won 11 of the 40 Chase races.

  26. 26 ROWDY BUSH

First of all you forgot to add in the 10 point bonus point for races won so kb would be 130 points over jimmy depending on if either one of the next week then it could change.

  27. 27 Anonymous

NO THAT IS NOT HOW THEY FIGURE POINTS IF THE CHASE STARTED TOMORROW KYLE WOULD ONLY BE 50 POINTS OVER JIMMY BECAUSE YOU SUBTRACT 80 FROM 30 AND THAT IS 50 POINTS

? where do you get 130 from, the points are reset to 5000 with 10 points for each win,at the moment kyle has 8 jj has 3 thats 50 points not 130.

if kyle does not win the championship, then’ll ull be another hater of this chase format. cuase it robbed ur driver of a title just like this chase has robbed jeff of 2 championships. he would be a 6th time champ under old system

  31. 31 ROWDY BUSH

First of all you can hate all u want of the chase but you know what hating it wont change anything, and youll can talk all the trash you want. Like I have said from day 1 KB might not win the championship but then again he might nobody here can predict what will happen, who knows david ragan might make the chase come in and almost win like boyer last year, so for youll to say what will happen is dumb.
