Take a bow, Kyle Busch. He did exactly that after winning again Friday night.
Busch added another Nationwide Series victory to his column on Friday, winning the Dollar General 300 at the Chicagoland Speedway.
The points leader with six victories in the Sprint Cup Series, Busch won for the fifth time in the Nationwide Series.
Busch did his customary bow to the crowd, which is becoming a weekly tradition as he has dominated this season. He has won 13 races, spanning all three of NASCAR’s top series.
“Happy to be here and happy to be in Victory Lane again. This is awesome,” Busch said.
So how does it feel knowing you have a chance to win, no matter what you’re driving?
“You go to the race track every week thinking you’ll be a contender. You go at least thinking you got a shot at winning,” Busch said. “You keep coming up with ideas. … From there you go into the race and try to make what you can out of the race.”
That’s what Busch pointed to Friday night, a pit stop just before the halfway mark that helped him eventually take over the lead.
“We made some good calls on adjustments on pit road and the thing came to life,” Busch said. “We got it out front and kind of took off there.”
Busch grabbed the lead on the 95th lap in his No. 18 Toyota, held it until a pit stop on the 149th and then regained it five laps later for the remainder of the 200-lap race on the 1.5-mile track.
Denny Hamlin, who started in 41st position, raced his way to a runner-up finish. Brad Keselowski was third.
Hamlin closed strong and lost by only 3.12 seconds.
“I felt we had something for Kyle. We just needed a caution,” Hamlin said. “Anything would have worked. I was looking all over for debris. I just couldn’t find anything.”

THATS WHAT A MAN DOES AFTER HE WINS
WOW, I can’t believe a JGR Toyota with 22 more horsepower wins again! I would have never thought that. If Tony wouldn’t have gotten mangled in the first lap they would have been 1st and 2nd. Nascar needs to do something quick because I am a huge Nationwide series fan but quit watching last night, it isn’t even a competitive series anymore. It is ridiculous, I saw Kyle 5 car lengths behind Jeff Burton and within 2 laps he was 5 car lengths ahead of Burton. On a 1.5 mile track to blow by TOP competitors like Burton driving RCR equipment is just ridiculous.
There, I have blown off some steam.
I am so sick of people yelling Nascar needs to do something. Nascar doesn’t have to do
anything. The Chevy, Dodge and Ford guys need to do something to make their cars better.
They should have been working harder and getting Nascar to approve new engines for them.
Racing is about the best car winning and that’s what happens. Toyota and JGR have put in the
work and figured out something great. The other owners, drivers etc need to quit whining and
figure their stuff out. Nobody was saying this crap last year when RCR won 13 races in the
Nationwide series or when Hendrick was dominating the Sprint Cup series.
The reason people weren’t saying anything last year is because even though these cars were winning the dyno results weren’t drastic like this year. Last year in the Cup series JGR’s Chevrolet’s were posting the highest dyno numbers, by 2-5 horsepower. This year in the Nationwide series the JGR Toyota’s are putting up 20+ horsepower week after week.
I don’t want Nascar to do anything to JGR, they are to be commended for their technology. However, they do need to let Chevrolet bring their R07 engine to Nationwide. Chevy does want to do something, Nascar is the one holding them back.
Last year the ones winning weren’t blowing by other top competitors like they weren’t even on the track.

How do you know the horsepower advantage?
Heres the bottom line horsepower isnt the only thing that wins races you still need people to set up the car and someone that can handle the car good pit stops, and so on. Also dont you think if toyota would have stumbled across something with the jgr cars they would share it with the other toyota teams, they would so why arent they performing like jgr. i mean last week it was the 20 car is cheating now this week its jgr is cheating,
Its funny how the nationwide and cup series play out like real life, Toyota makes an awesome product off the track and the other manufactuers make junk cant sell it and have enormous repair and crappy resale, toyota hasnt only stepped off the track now thety are stepping up on the track.
They think they know about it because Rusty told them so last night.
I don’t know that I believe him about it since it’s not like he doesn’t
have an angle since he owns two Chevy Nationwide teams.
Rusty used to be my favorite driver but I am losing more and more respect for him.
He seems to whine every week just like Clint and the rest of them.
People believe this drivers and owners who have their own angle. Chevy didn’t try to get the
new engine before the season started. You don’t change things halfway through because
you aren’t winning. I am sure they will do it since this is the automaker of Jr and
Hendrick.
“Following another dominant performance by Kyle Busch at Friday’s Dollar General 300 Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway, NASCAR is stepping in and taking action.
Toyota won and finished with four of the top-five cars.
Nine engines are being removed from cars for transport to and testing at the NASCAR Research & Development Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Reports have been that the engines are coming from Toyota cars.
NASCAR is planning the test to determine if Toyota has a competitive advantage this season.
There have been at least thirteen wins in the Nationwide Series and seven wins in the Sprint Cup Series this season by Toyota-powered cars—Most of the wins by Joe Gibbs Racing.
Here’s a prediction for you: Look for NASCAR to confiscate some of the engines from Sprint Cup cars tomorrow after the Lifelock.com 400. Once NASCAR figures out what advantage Toyota has over the other makes, there may be rule changes made to restore a competitive balance.”

We will learn more after this week. NASCAR doesn’t publicize DYNO results but the teams do get the results. This means that every team is lying about Toyota HP because all of the teams are complaining. I hope that NASCAR will release results from this test, but I doubt they will.
WoW, I could see this win coming coming from the Trackside Live. Car running 22 more horses and an illegal car, plus an idiot driver makes for a winning team. Go figure. NASCAR.
Duh.

HP is everything , anyone can drive a car, thats why you can stick a crappy driver in a great car and he can win races. Toyota has had 20 plus horses in the Cup and Nationwide series this season and if NASCAR takes away some of that you wont see Toyota in VL that much again.
MY GOD THIS IS AS BAD AS ROUSH YEARS AGO ACCUSING GORDON AND EVERNAHM OF SOAKING TIRES, EVERYONE WANTS TO COMPLAIN HOW BOUT OTHER TEAMS STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS, HOWIE THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD, SO YOUR SAYING CAR CONTROL AND SET UP ARE NOT IMPORTANT AND THAT ANYONE CAN DRIVE A CAR WITH HP WHY DONT YOU GO HOP IN A CAR WITH THE MOST HP AND SEE IF YOU CAN COMPETE
wow yeah why even watch the NWS race anymore…13 out of 19 races…give me a break…it should be renamed the Nascar Nationwide Joe Gibbs Racing Series….they are on pace to win 25 out of the 34 races….unless Nascar chokes their HP down…which is why chevy wants the R07 and i dont see why they shouldnt it would even out the playing field…
Brad Kesolowski is the only guy consistently keeping up with them…if he had that extra HP he would be up there racing for the win an not just watching the toyotas drive away….Nascar is totally screwing up with this, the truck series ratings went down when they let toyota come in and take over….same thing is going to happen with the rest of their series if they dont nip it in the but now…

I have been in stock cars and Drag cars alike. I have driven on several tracks along with alot of other people who have worked with Sr. Sr. use to test and after testing he use to say go head try it out. Kirk , Andy, and Chocolate and I have been in alot of Srs cars. but its no different when Dale got in Kyles car when he walked away from it and got out and said man that car was fast and it handled great, and that was after Kyle wrecked it. Tell me why Kyle didnt win that much with Riick??? Ill tell you Horsepower.
YOUR CRAZY OK SO YOUR TELLING ME KYLE DIDNT WIN THAT MUCH WITH RICK BECAUSE OF HORSEPOWER SO THEN EXPLAIN JIMMIES WINS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS OVER THE LSAT 2 YEARS, SO THATS THE DUMBEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD ALSO IF RACING IS SO EASY AN ANY IDIOT CAN DRIVE A CAR WITH HORSEPOWER, I GUESS YOUR SAYING WE ARE ALL CAPEABLE OF BEING DRIVERS
Genius wrote:
You must not have seen the Dyno Numbers, Out of the Toyota engines dynoed they averaged together make 4.5 more rwhp then the Chevy engines averaged, and no more the 6HP more then the Ford and Dodge.
If Toyota had some great HP Advantage wouldn’t it be ALL Toyota Teams dominating instead of just the JGR ones… I mean after all All-Toyota teams use the same engines, Cup/Nationwide ones for all teams are built by JGR/TRD and the CTS ones are built solely by TRD.
I didn’t see you or others complaining last year when Chevy was dominating and when Dyno numbers showed Chevy had more HP… Hmm Guess it must come down to issues of if you are an American or not, Real Americans support companies that put food on other Americans tables (Toyota), Non-Real Americans support companies who are more willing to feed Mexicans and Canadians then they are Americans (Chevy, Ford, Dodge)

Why did’nt he win more with Hendrick? He had the same talent right?
SO ARE YOULL SAYING THAT THE ONLY REASON HE IS WINNING NOW BECAUSE OF HOREPOWER YOULL ARE SO STUPID SO YOUR TELLING ME LAST WEEK AT DAYTONE WHEN HAMLIN GOT INTO HIM AND THE KYLES CAR WAS COMPLETELY SIDEWAYS AND HE SAVED IT THAT WAS ALL HORSPOWER, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE SEEN KYLES CARS OUT OF CONTROL WHERE ANY OTHER DRIVER WOULD WRECKED AND HE NEVER LIFTS AND DRIVES OUT OF IT,
FISHA YOU COULDNT BE MORE RIGHT
AND IF YOTAS ARE SO FAR MORE DOMINANT HOW COME ALLMINDINGER HAS HAD ISSUES MAKING RACES IF ANY CRAPPY DRIVER CAN DRIVE A CAR WITH HORSEPOWER JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF YOULL ARE WRONG AGAIN
WHY WAS MY EARLIER POST DELETED…ROWDY BUSH I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH, YOU MAKE MORE SENSE THEN ANY OF THESE OTHER IDIOTS POSTING ON HERE, KYLE BUSCH IS THE GREATEST DRIVER EVER IN THE SPORT OF NASCAR, HE IS WAY BETTER THAN YOUR GODS DALE SR AND JEFF GORDON, AND IF HE RACED AGAINST THE KING MORE THE LIKE THE QUEEN RICHARD PETTY, HE WOULD HAVE SMOKED THAT TURKEY TOO
Yeah, what a headline, “The monkey wins again in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland.” and that applies to whoever drives either the #18 and #20 cars in the Nationwide Series and that’s all I have to say.
I think JGR has a far better understanding and experience with chassis than MWR and other Toyota teams
which is why they are doing much better with the toyota than the others have.
Im not knocking JGR. They did their homework, just as Hendrick did last year, and they are reaping the awards.
well until the FIA I mean NASCAR step in and take away their advantage

its not even racing anymore, their are no pictures to take because their is no racing goin on. their is no talent involved in this type of racing. its boring and NASCAR took 5 engines last night and they are taking more tonight. they are talking about using different spacers for the Toyotas to limit their top end. they better befor they lose all the fans.
Howie quick question, by spacers what do you mean, im sorry i dont know much about cars, but yea just wondering, it also appears to me that the Nationwide and Sprint Cup are turning out to look a lot like the Truck Series when Toyota first came in.
I C the 22extra HP really is plugging those WINS foe Toyato this Year, what abt next year when they will not have that 22 Extra HP in the NationWide, Plus the extra in the Cup.
LOSE and cry to NASCAR its unfair..
JR/HENDRICK FAN wrote:
A spacer is like a restrictor plate except that instead of having 4 holes in the center it is open in the center. it can be anywhere from 3/4 of an inch thick to a 1 1/2 thick. it can take anywhere from 75 or more horsepower from an engine. Joe Balash said in the garage after the race tonight they took 10 engines and he said they will level this playing field once and for all. he said we dont need any more dominance from just one team. I agree
Howie Motorsports Photography wrote:
Thanx for answering, yea i def agree, all this dominance is drawing a lot of people away, i was at the race 2night too, i only live 45 mins east of the track and yea it was my first time at Chicagoland, i always go to the Brickyard, but i wasn’t to impressed with Chicago, hopefully Indy this year will be a different story

LOL NOT THAT THIS WILL EVER HAPPEN BUT I BET IF JR WAS DOMINATING YOULL WOULDNT SAY A WORD, FACE THE TOYOTAS HAVE THERE CARS DIALED IN AND THEY ARE PLAYING BY THE RULES IF THEY WERENT THEY WOULD HAVE LOST POINT AND MONEY BY NOW ALSO WHAT YOULL ARE FAILING TO REALIZE EVERYONE IN THIS SERIES DOES SOMETHING TO GET AND ADVANTAGE JUST LIKE LAST YEAR WHEN JR AND EURY JR GOT BUSTED SCREWING WITH THE COT, IF TOYOTA HAS FOUND SOMETHING GOOD FOR THEM THEY JUST DO WHAT EVERYONE IN THE SERIES TRIES TO DO EVERY DAY AND IF NASCAR MAKES A RULE OUT OF IT THEN GOOD, BUT UBTIL THEN ITS NOT CHEATING LIKE YOULL SAY, SO GET OVER IT
ROWDY BUSH wrote:
well when the director of the Nationwide series say were goin to do something, he is not listening to fans, he sees it for himself and you can clearly see Toyota has more HP but they would pretty soon.
HOWIE IM REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THIS, SINCE YOU SAY YOU HAVE SUCH A GREAT RACING BACKGROUND, THEN YOU KNOW ALL TEAMS CHEAT, ALL TEAMS LOOK FOR A WAY TO BEAT THE SYSTEM, LIKE CHAD KNAUS YOU KNOW HES GOOD CAUSE NASCAR MAKES RULES BECAUSE OF STUFF HES DONE, NOBODY ON THIS SITE KNOWS THE FACTS ON THE HP IT IS PURE SPECULATION, SO ONCE AGAIN YOULL CAN SIT HERE AND CRY BOUT HOW TOYOTAS ARE CHEATING SO IM SUGGESTING ALL YOU EXPERTS SHOULD PROBABLY GO WORK AT NASCAR SINCE THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON
BY THE WAY HOW BOUT DAT KYLE BUSCH GOOD THING HE STILL CHEATING, JUST THINK ONE MORE WIN THIS SEASON AND KYLE WILL HAVE HALF AS MANY WINS IN ONE SEASON AS JR HAS HAD IN 10 YEARS LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL CANT WAIT TO SEE ALL THE CRY BABY COMMENTS WHEN THYE PUT UP THE STORY BOUT KYLE WINNING AGAIN
FACE IT THE KID CAN DRIVE I MEAN LOOK AT THE CUP RESULTS TOO HE HAS TALENT AND NO ONE LIKES HIM BECAUSE HE IS JUST PLAIN AND SIMPLE KICKING a$$ HE IS THE JEFF GORDON WHEN HE WAS DOMINATING EVERYONE SEEMS TO HATE A WINNER BUT I JUST GOTTA SAY THIS KID HAS RAW TALENT
UH OH BEN
SINCE YOU TYPED IN ALL CAPS THEY ARE GPOING TO HATE AND THE FACT THE YOU SPOKE THE GOSPEL BOUT KYLE JR NATION IS GOING TO COME AFTER YOU NOW, BUT I AGREE THE KID IS A WHEELMAN

Here is a quote by ‘yara’ from a message board I read, and it sums everything up perfectly.
“Big differance between 3hp and 53hp….. not a big differance in say 803hp and 853hp
When a object is in motion the required amount of force to propel it forward increases as the velocity increases until you reach terminal velocity. When an object is already going 160mph, the force required to propel the object up to 161 mph is MUCH more than the force required to propel an object from 0mph to 1mph.
Chevy was dominating like this last season… its just Xenophobia”
ROWDY BUSH wrote:
its a fact that the Toyotas have more HP. when they took the motors after Milwaukee they said that the Toyotas had more HP. no speculation, fact.
Toyota had the most HP last year too….
Braun and MWR had the most HP last year in Nationwide and after a Dyno at Atlanta DJ’s car had 25 more HP then race winner Jimmie Johnson. And at last years Daytona 500 Toyota had 10-15 more HP, and they still were crap.
Heck this year Toyota as a whole still by definition stinks, JGR is dominating and Braun is having some good runs, which really is the same thing that was happening before those teams switched to Toyota.
You can have all the HP in the world, but if you don’t have the people and talent in place to put that HP to use you ain’t going to do anything.
Heck, Chevy won 26 of the 36 Cup races last year and nobody said one word about penalizing them in anyway.
Xenophobia at it’s best…….
ALL of chevys wins last year was with the COT when they had more testing time. So everyone saying that chevy has done the same thing is horse sh!t.
