Kyle Busch could be let go at Hendrick after Chicago race-FALSE/UPDATED 2

AutoRacingSport.com has learned from several sources that Hendrick Motorsports is considering letting Kyle Busch out of his contract with the team as early as Monday…essentially firing him.
Busch is leaving the team at the end of the season and is currently in talks with other Nextel Cup teams for a ride in 2008 and beyond. Busch has said that the team has made him feel like an outsider since the announcement that he wouldn’t be returning to the team after this season and reiterated those comments at this weekends’ race in Chicagoland.
“I’m not helping anybody but myself and this team for winning races,” Busch said at Chicagoland. “And I’m not helping Jeff Gordon. I’m not helping Jimmie Johnson or Casey Mears. They are able to go back and see what I run and that kind of stuff. But for me, it’s just to go out there and to try to win races and keep winning with my name.”
Word is that Rick Hendrick is furious with these comments and Hendrick Motorsports Vice President of Development Doug Duchardt essentially said Sunday that it is going to be put to a stop.
“Obviously you can’t continue the way it’s going with his comments,” he said. “Our goal was to finish out the season working just like we had at the beginning of the season. And if he’s choosing to not be a teammate, then we’re going to have to address how his role is going to be within the team and what he’s going to need to do.
“It’s a difficult situation being made more difficult than it needs to be.”
UPDATE:
Still unhappy After criticizing his teammates for not providing help at Daytona International Speedway last week, #5-Kyle Busch expressed displeasure with Hendrick Motorsports again this weekend. The 22-year-old, who is being replaced by Dale Earnhardt Jr. after this season, said he felt alienated during team meetings and questioned strategy after giving up the lead on a pit stop late in Saturday’s Busch race. Team owner Rick Hendrick said the team intends to keep Busch in the #5 Chevrolet through the end of the season but is perplexed by the driver’s dissatisfaction. “It just doesn’t make sense to me,” Hendrick said. “We’re working as hard as we can.”
UPDATE 2:
Hendrick Motorsports has confirmed that the rumor is false.
- Kyle Busch statement regarding his leaving Hendrick
- Busch calls Hendrick a liar on radio show
- Busch says Hendrick teammates refused to draft with him at Daytona
- Busch has no issues with Dale Jr, but says Casey Mears kicked him out of Hendrick
- McMurray under the weather for today’s race

GOOD…maybe this will bring Mr. Busch (and I use that term losely) down a few pegs to where he doesn’t think he is better than everyone else. He is a jerk and so is his brother.
Good Riddance!
::waves bye to Busch::
Well, Hendrick will do anything it takes to get his name in the papers. Canning Busch will definitely do that. I’m having a feeling that there’s something we don’t know about Busch + Hendrick + DEI.
I think that Busch will be taken in right away by DEI if Hendricks decides to kick him to the curb. I don’t know why, but i’ve got that feeling.
FINALLY, Hendrick is doing something about that busch… i mean a team is a team. if he aint on a team….no 1 will place him a ride…he needs to grow up alot more now then he did when he came on board.
As much of a jerk he can be I feel bad for him. All along he said he wanted to be with Hendrick. He wanted to sign a new deal. They dumped him for Jr. Refused to let him do anything just like with Vickers last year. I dont blame him. Id be pissed too. He needs to grow up too and not drag it out with the team in the news. There are more mature ways to handle the situation. He will get paid big somewhere else and probably not be a #3 driver.
I’ll believe it when it’s been proven.
And my thoughts on the matter mirror Eric’s.
Good riddens to bad rubbish I say. I never did like Kyle Busch. Glad to see him go.
selfish little a&*hole!! I hope this is true and Rick gives him the boot!!
The sad part is that Kyle Busch is a better driver than all of you seem to think. Hendrick is an @$$ hole. He abandoned Brian Vickers last year by closing him out of all team meetings, and not allowing Brian into the shop. And you wonder why Vickers punted Johnson at Talladega last fall… Busch deserves better than teammates that cheat and dont help out a teammate. Hendrick also lied to Busch about his contract… I cant beleive you people take Hendrick’s side when he has lied to 2 very good drivers. Busch may whine a lot, but so does Stewart. Hendrick is the problem, you all just dont want to realize it.
Kyle is a good driver but if he thinks that his team mates weren’t helping him at Daytona by their own choosing then maybe he has less talent than we suspect. No one should be feeling sorry for this guy. He railroaded himself out the door. Vickers was treated way worse. Hell, is brother Kurt was treated worse at Roush towards the end and considering the circumstances at DEI Junior is being treated worse than anyone. Who cares? That’s life. Make the best of it and stop the damn crying.
It would be interesting if Kyle ends up at DEI soon but it would be his just dessert if he ends up without a ride for a couple of races.
i don’t care who the bad guy is or who said what but don’t bite the hand that feeds you!
I think that would be good for him…maybe get a fresh start on next year. Hendrick is a no good car owner who only cares about his pocket book hence the fact that he wooed Jr. w/ only god knows how much money just to kick Busch to the curb just like he has so many others! Walk out the backdoor of that shop, don’t turn your back and give em the middle finger…
I don’t even understand why the Busch bros have a bad rap to begin with, maybe someone can inform me…and it can’t be b/c he wrecks people, oh he whines too much, shit like that b/c all of them out there do that constantly!
kick him to the curb. i never liked him anyway.
Kyle’s an @$$hole, he’s even hated here in Vegas, which is unusual for a drivers hometown. Only his father is cheered in that racing family.
Hendrick was warned years ago when Kyle signed that he was a loose cannon. Kyle never matured and is quite the idiot to boot. I bet he could never hold a 5 minute conversation with his college educated sponsorship executives.
Kyle is a sponsors worst nightmare. He obviously doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut and let his driving do the talking.
If this happens I wonder who finishes the year in the car. There was a rumor that it could be Mark Martin, then Regan Smith could run the full schedule in the 01 car. No doubt Mark would be excited about running that equipment.
Kurt and Kyle have a bad rep because they tend to act very immature. It’s like most of these people forget that Kurt was, what, 22 when he started driving for Roush? Kyle was 19 his first year in the Cup series. Unlike most of the drivers, they were, basically, still kids when they got into the series. However, because they whined and wrecked people while they were younger, they were labeled as spoiled brats.
I personally like Kyle. I see a lot of Tony Stewart in him. They’re both very talented drivers, and they both don’t take crap from anyone. I personally would love to see him over at JGR either in a fourth team or taking over for another driver *cough*JJYeley*cough*. I think Tony would be a good mentor for Kyle, because they ARE so similar. Of course, they’re both bullheads, so that could backfire, but that’s not here or there.
I think that HMS is doing the same thing to Kyle that they did to Brian Vickers after HE announced he was leaving HMS at the end of the season. (For those who aren’t aware, they basically kicked Brian out all the meetings, even those that involved his car and his team, and treated him like a giant pile of crap). Vickers’ personality is completely different from Kyle’s. Vickers is more laid back and passive, so he just went with the flow and didn’t say anything. Kyle doesn’t take crap. I’m sure that, once he saw that HMS was treating him like shit, he decided to tell HMS to go duck themselves.
HOWEVER, I can’t see Kelloggs being happy with Hendrick if he DOES let Busch go and doesn’t have someone else drive that car for the rest of the season. They paid them a LOT of money to be the 5 car’s primary sponsor, and every race that their car isn’t out racing is money lost. I’m sure that THEY’LL have a say in what happens. (Can we say “Rockwell Automation forcing Gibbs to put Denny Hamlin into the driver’s seat at the Busch race in Milwaukee”?) Of course, HMS, Junior, and Kelloggs might have some deal going that we’re not aware of. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
good riddance. temperments and attitudes like that dont need to be at hendrick’s organization.
Finally!! he doesnt deserve to be with Hendrick MotorSports!! I hope noone wants him!! That would be hularious!!! lol He is such a baby!!! He has no maturity!!
Teresa,
I totally agree with you about biting the hand that feeds you. Also, you’d think that he’d be holding back a little on the childish rants that he has been having when he’s looking for a new job.
I am FAR from a Gordon fan, but, Kyle complaining about Gordon pushing McMurray at Dayton was pathetic. Does ANYONE really believe he pushed McMurray to help McMurray and not to try to get himself up to the front? Besides, there was no room for Gordon to get behind Busch to push him. Also, he complained about Gordon not acknowledging him on pit road, but, Gordon was in the middle of an interview.
Well nobody here still has a valid reason for disliking him, otherwise Tony Stewart fans and such would be biting thier tongues for the vast similarity to Kyles way of doing things…I’m from Vegas myself and raced at LVMS’s dragstrip during the time that the Busch bros were running the Bullring and they were class acts on the racetrack then, I don’t see any change other than the fact that the media keeps busting Kyle’s balls about the Jr./Hendrick issue. Maybe if Dale was a championship caliber driver then this wouldn’t be such a big deal…
Brian Vickers name keeps being brought up. When asked his views on the situation Brian V on Inside Nextel took up for HMS.
Kyle Busch confuses his talent for entitlement.
The comment about “biting the hand that feeds you” was never more true than in this case. Kyle must know in some part of his immature brain that comments like what he said would have to be addressed by management.
Its almost like he wants to be fired now… Whats the little scrub up to ..
If Rick Hendrick does go through w/ this, I applaud the decision. Kyle is a whiny, snot-nosed brat that just needs to sit out the rest of the season.
As far as the Kellogg’s/Carquest sponsorship for next season goes, is it a possibility that they could move to the #25 car? The National Guard runs on 1 year sponsors, so maybe they will leave for another team (#8 car?), and Hendrick can switch the #5 sponsors over to the #25. If they do this, we could have Dale Jr. drive the #5 Mountain Dew car like rumors are stating.
Good old nonymous!!! What has vickers done this year? Kyle has talent but he needed more time in the bush leagues to mature. Hendrick gives his drivers the best equipment in the garage. He expects his drivers to act like Jeff and Jimmie and now casey. If bush ever grows up he will be valuable, but until then he is trouble.
OOH lets not get nasty. Kyle is a good driver and with some patience from a good owner he might learn to watch his mouth before sticking his foot in it. The Kid does have talent he just needs to grow up and have some temperment about himself and learn when things are best to be left unsaid. It will come in time I just hope he doesnt ruin his career before he gets a chance to do well. He just needs to grow up and not let things bother him and lose his temper and lose a good thing when he has it.i
I’m starting to wonder if he wants to get fired early. Immature at
times, yes, but not stupid. He had to know that would be a strong
possibility if he made comments like that. Perhaps he already has
another car lined up that he’d rather be in, effective immediately.
somone said brian defended hms on inside nextel. he kinda did but he said it was more gordon an johnson who wouldnt let him in than rick. we all kno rick has no say so in his team it all gordon an johnson. notice how much better they do than the other hendrick cars. vickers never liked to badmouth people on tv. that y he didnt say much. an one more thing. most of the gordon haters or the “fans against gordon” change ure slogan cuz it spells out ___ an it jus makes u look bad.
The difference with Brian and Kyle is that Brian CHOSE to leave……..Kyle is basically getting fired. Brian knew there would be some team separation. He worked hard to keep it just team and business not personal. Brian has maintained many, if not all, of his personal relationships with people at HMS. He’s still great friends with Mr. H, Jeff, Jimmie, and Casey. Kyle is upset about getting pushed out when he didn’t want to leave. He doesn’t care about the relationships he has or what happens at HMS anymore. He’s responding in typical Kyle Busch fashion…..lashing out. I think something needs to be done about his bashing……..I don’t know what, but I’ll leave that up to Mr. H.
an another thing. kyle DOES need to keep his mouth shut. this shit startin to get old wit all this complainin from all the drivers. shut the hell up an drive ure car. stop worryin bout wat every body else is thinkin bout.
I like what Steve said but inversed: “good riddance. temperments and attitudes like that of hendrick’s organization dont need to be put up with.” I’m not a big Ky. Busch fan but after seeing HMS do this before w/Vickers I agree w/all that Busch said. Especially about not helping out the other teams. F*** Hendrick. They should change the name to “Hendrick Good Ole Boys Motorsports”.
I wouldn’t doubt it one bit, Breanna. I know that if I was in Kyle’s situation, and I was being screwed over every way possible by my team, I’d want out, too. Now, if he has another ride, we don’t know. (Maybe Bud’s sponsoring HIM next season! XD)
I wouldn’t doubt either that Jeff and Jimmie aren’t helping him one bit. They did the same thing with Vickers. Do I have to remind everyone about how much Jimmie whined when Brian went for the win and spun him out instead of letting HIM win last year in Talladega? You know damn well that, if the situation was reversed, Jimmie’da spun out Brian and had no regrets about it at all.
racing is racing ain’t it. all drivers get mad at times. they all have teammates, but when
it comes down to the last 20 laps it is everyone for themselves. didn’t tony stewart bad talk
hamlin after the daytona race. everyone needs to remember where they come from, and where
they will be after racing. kyle is a good driver, and will probably win a few championships
elsewhere.
Hmm, wonder who would bust there behind to get the guy 9th in the points into a car for indy. If Kyle is let go and maybe if he doesn’t make the chase he will be but if he is let go tomorrow, there will be a ride for him by indy i am sure just because he is 9th in the standings.
Kurt has matured alot IMO. He is alot better with the press, is very nice, and very cool. I think he has matured alot. Kyle on the other hand, all he does is whine and complain. I hope they do give him the boot. Just because he is a wild cannon when cameras are in his face.
Wow…I’m not sure how to feel about this? I really dont like Kyle Busch, cause I think his attitude sucks, so in a way Hendrick needed to woop this boy and take him down a notch or two. But…I do think that his team mates kind of gave him the shaft in the last few weeks since Dale Jr was going to come aboard next year. So in a way, the whole Hendricks team kind of stabed Kyle Busch in the back, and they should of handled his crapy attitude another way.
I’m not a Kyle Busch fan, but I feel sorry for the guy. He’s a good driver. More talented than Jr ever was or ever will be. In my honest opinion, Rick Hendrick is an idiot to fire Busch for Jr. If [and this is a big if] he is being fired I hope some one picks him up immediately and he goes on winning and wins the cup. I don’t care that he is honestly one of my least favorite drivers. I just hope he succeds with another team. Just like I hoped Mayfield would of gotten a good ride so he could laugh in Ray Erinham’s ugly face. GO KYLE!! GO MAYFIELD!! BOOO HENDRICK!! BOOO ERINHAM!!
Finally Rick decided to get rid of the thorn in his side. Bye bye Kyle
Okay to some of you people such as “Dog”..
You can’t honestly say Busch is more talented that Dale Jr AT THIS CURRENT TIME.
When there careers are over, then compare them. As far as I’m concerned, Jr
has 13 more wins and only a few years differential.
As for my opinion on this situation, I have a hard time
believing this would be true. If it was, I too don’t think the sponsors
of the 5 car would allow this unless Hendrick can quickly get
a replacement driver. But talk about screwing Kyle over, he would
have to make his decision now. Although, I don’t like Kyle I still think
it would be an excessive move. But I guess we will all have to wait and
see…
Go 8 & 48!
Quite a few of those defending Kyle act like just out of the blue, with no reason, HMS let Kyle go. What were Kyle’s demands to renew his contract? They had been working on it since last year. How many cars has he wrecked? How many drivers has he taken out of a race because of impatience? Who leaves in a snit when things don’t go his way? Who left his car while his team diligently worked to get it back on track? Who has NEVER acted as a team mate to ANYONE?
The way he is acting right now just reinforces why he was let go.
Kyle Busch is feeding the media a line of bull of “poor me” and they’re eating it up.
Amen
I think LL is right on with his comment……………He has never acted as a team mate to any of the other drivers. He is a spoiled brat and he needs a pacifier in his big mouth….nothing but an arrogant cry baby……
You know what people you can stop talking crap about Kyle Busch. Kyle has every right to do
what hes doing. His brother Kurt backed him up. His teams wont wouldnt draft with him.
I would be mad too. I grew up with the Busch Brothers i know how they are, but they are GOOD DRIVERS
from Las Vegas,NV. Talk all you want but you know what Kyle will be the next champion in NASCAR. His
brother got the championship so will Kyle.
I think he should go to a team where he will shine….Wait why don’t he replace andretti and kyle petty at Petty enterprises…Ha Ha….jk…Kyle Bucsh you are one hell of a race car driver but your attitude needs some improving…i used to think you were the better Busch brother, but seeing how you have acted in recent weeks i dunno, plus your brother has calmed his happy ass down alot….Quit whining
If that is how he feels he will do himself muchless the tean any good its time for him to go by-by. He will do no good as far as team spirit or help keep the team going on and win races with that sort of attidude. Its time for Kyle to go BY BY. He will do nothing but hurt the team with his attuide. Again he let his mouth overload his butt. and again it will put him in a lloseing situation. Hes going down the road of hard knocks. He’s hurting himself more than anyone else.I guess he wants to move before the end of the year. It would serv him right to be held to his contract and have to stay their untill the end of the year.
why would hendrick let a driver that is 9th in points go before the chase even starts that would be a bad business move if you ask me i know alot of people hate the kid but man he can drive the wheels of a race car i would laugh if kyle bush got fired got picked up before indy and win the championship it would be funny but i think this is just another rumor starting rick hendrick might be frustrated with him but i don’t think hendrick is stupid

Do it! Do it! Do it!
I believe that the only thing that was stopping Kyle Busch and Rick Hendrick from making a deal was the length of the contract. I think Kyle wanted a shorter contract than what Hendrick was offering him, or it may have been vice versa. Either way, that was the ONLY sticking point.
I’m sorry, but I believe Kyle has taken out A LOT less cars in his three plus years as a Cup driver than Montoya has taken out in his first 19 races. And I want you to name ONE driver that hasn’t caused more than one accident due to impatience. Go ahead. I bet you can’t do it. Every driver’s done it, even Wonderboy and his sidekick Unibrow.
You know what? It’s hard to act like a teammate when you KNOW your teammates will screw you over every chance they get. Jeff and Jimmie did it with Vickers. They’re doing it with Busch. If any future driver at HMS was smart, they wouldn’t announce they were leaving the team until their contracts are done and the season is over, lest Jeff and Jimmie screw them over. The only teammates Jeff and Jimmie seem to think they have are themselves.
Am I defending some of Kyle’s hissy fits? No. He can act a little childish at times. But, as I stated earlier, HE’S ONLY TWENTY TWO YEARS OF AGE!!! How many of you have children that are teenagers or in their early twenties? I know that when I was that age, I didn’t always act like you’d expect someone my age to act. Now, if he’s doing this six, seven years from now, then maybe he’s got a problem. But for now, give the kid a little leniency.
Well put Ben. As for “Ky. Busch hurting team spirit” you gotta be joking. How can someone hurt the team spirit if they aren’t on the team. He said he isn’t treated like he’s on the team & we all remember how although Vickers was “on the team” he wasn’t allowed to participate in team meetings. HMS got their just deserts for their b.s. policies when he punted the 48. HMS is nothing more than a good ole boy’s club. HMS makes fantastic race cars, has great drivers & has even better crew chiefs. It’s a shame that HMS’s ethics & morals aren’t up to par w/their talent & equipment. I wasn’t a Kyle Busch fan before but I am now. He has a lot of talent that just needs to be honed, loud mouth & all.
I don’t root for Kyle Busch, but I enjoy watching him race. I don’t think it will be good for the sport if this is true. Kyle is one of the new faces of NASCAR and he needs to be racing. Kurt Busch is by far the worse of the two Busch brothers and Kyle needs to learn from the mistakes his brother has made. He will end up winning a lot of races for whatever team he signs with.
BYE BYE !!!!
I’m sure not a big Kyle Busch fan but, Mr. Vice President shouldn’t
state the fact that Kyle isn’t being a teammate when the team essentially
dumped Busch for Dale Jr when Busch is currently doing well and is in the
hunt for the chase. It shows that the “team” isn’t looking so much at
performance as it is on how much money they can accumulate from having
Dale Jr on the payroll.
Kurt get your bicycle out and do your pee wee Herman look-a-like gig for the rest of the season……….you’ll do well
Hold Busch to his contract but pull him from the ride. Let sit out the rest of the year
Okay, so maybe Kyle is blowing this outta proportion a little bit. But come on, he deserves little bit of compassion. So he is acting like a kid, well maybe because HE IS ONE(compared to the other older drivers anyway). Every Driver was like this when they where starting out(or at his age or both). Kyle Busch needs an owner who will not only provide him with championship worthy equipment, but will pull him to the side and teach him. As for Hendrick and JR. To hell with the both of them. Hendrick may be force now, but one day the team will be nothing. Just like all the other star organizations of the 70’s and 80’s, they will go through a dark period and eventually, nothing at all
Hold Busch to his contract but pull him from the ride. Let sit out the rest of the year
Yeah. Sure. Right. Because, you know, saying you’re not going to play nice with your teammates after they’ve started to not play nice with you is akin to getting drunk, driving like an idiot, getting pulled over, and then telling a cop that he’s arresting you because he’s a Jeff Gordon fan. *rolls her eyes*
In response to Nick B. who asked how the Busch brothers got a bad rap - its their “Im better than you because mom and dad have money” attitudes that earned them the disrepesct they deserve. I raced with them both in dwarfs and legends, and they were a couple of hacks with the best equipment out there. Decent drivers at best. Ive watched quite a few drivers who were better than they were slip through the cracks because they didnt have the money to buy their way to the top.
All of you are talking about Kyle.. He’s not the BAD brother.. also look at the point standing.. Kyle is over 200 points in tha standings. Has won more races then Jr has.. As for the whining.. how did it more the Gorden did and still does????? As for the age.. Not many driver get to race at the level he is at the age of 19 to start out.. many are still runing dirt tracks etc.. what you all need to do is look at everything before saying anything.. He’s been shut out of meetings for his car and team.. so in my book he has the right to say what he wanted to say… Last i knew.. we DID still have freedom of SPEECH in this country. I may not be a big fan of his but what they did to him was not right !!! If they wanted JR then they should of started up a 4th team !
Brian Vickers told him this was coming. He is an ass anyway, C-ya!!!
DON’T LET THE DOOR SLAM ON YOUR LIL CRY BABY ASS ON THE WAY OUT!.
People who say lil KB was not told about this and has al rights to blame HMS and bad mouth thme as well. No one knows honestly whos telling the truth. lil KB could have been informed of this and just to make HMS look bad he could have said he was left out on the info of his carrer at HMS. Hendrick could be lying as well so we don’t know the truth so we honestly can’t judge until we get a public statement from both sides.
Later
P.S. I’m a HMS driver Jeff Gordon Fan so i’m not hateing i’m just being honest
fire that dumb— no one likes him and he is a cheater thats my oppion. no one likes him i think he should be let go and sent home forever. every time i see him winning i turn the tv until hes not in the lead any more
good bye kyle!!
Kyle’s talent will benefit whatever team he goes to. Not EVERYONE in Vegas hates him. I don’t like their father, but I’m a big supporter of Kurt AND Kyle. Kyle is a nice kid, he just needs to balance himself when it comes to the media (same as Tony and I’m a big Tony fan too). The fact that Hendrick lied about Kyle already looking for a ride and talking to people when Kyle knew nothing about it pisses me off. I’d be upset too. I can see how he can interpret himself being an outsider for the Pepsi 400 even if it wasn’t so. I’m sure his pride is hurt knowing that he was basically shoved aside for Junior.
I’m pretty sure he’ll go to the 8 and that first season will be hard for him because he’ll get more boos than normal, but he’ll prevail, mature and kick some ass in no time.
Kyle Busch has a problem that just won’t EVER go away. It is called Kurt Busch. Kurt started digging a hole to put the family name in years ago and Kyle just keeps getting the same shovel out….of course claiming he is trying to get out…..but the hole big brother Kurt dug is so deep that Kyle won’t EVER get out.
The fact is the Busch Brothers NEED NASCAR but NASCAR doesn’t need them.
Actually NASCAR would do just fine without HMS as well. At least that way 2 less illegal cars would be circling the track each Sunday. LOL
Also please don’t use the word talent & Jr in the same sentence as your lack of racing knowledge will be revealed.
Lissa ask for a driver who races without incidents on the track……how about Denny Hamlin……Daytona was his SECOND career Cup DNF.
How about those Candy (ice) APPLES………..
Its funny. The guy gets completely back stabbed by Rick Hendrick who only saw dollar signs by signing Dale Jr and now Kyle is the problem. He was completely screwed over and in my opinion I would be pissed off as well. Who is the the unprofessional one here? The one who goes behind your back makes a deal with another driver while you are in contract negotiations, or the one who has no idea and gets blindsided and had no ride for next year. You tell me you wouldnt be pissed? Hendrick is a snake oil salesman and a crook. Please people dont forget that.
He’a kid He’s just 22 Give a break He’s a grown man acting like a 5 yr old.And when did he become the most talented driver in cup ? He’s only won 4 races in HMS cars He should have 10 wins by now if he had any talent at all Booth the punk
Every person is is responsible for their own actions. You can’t blame any of this on Kurt. I’m no fan of either but
I agrre that is really sucks for Kyle but liek I said before, it’s time to step up to the plate and finish out with a blast,
get on a good team and come back and kick some butt next year. Mean while keep your mouth shut so next year when
he is winning left and right nobody can say, “Yeah but remember how nasty he was acting last year” Who wants to be
winning and have people drag this “will be” past crap up all the time instead??
I am a Jr fan but if Kyle were to straighten up his attitude I would laugh if he came back and rocked NASCAR next year.
That’s how the cookie crumbles.
*too bad Kyle doesn’t have anyone who supports him and has his best intrest in mind, someone who would tell him, hey, step up boy! You will get them next year! Out on the track!
OH AND WHO CARES IF YOU ARE 22 OR 55, YOU ARE A PROFFESSIONAL!!!!!!! If I acted imature at work I’d get the boot too.
There is the door!!!!!
Whether your 22 or 52 makes no difference. In business, and make no mistake….NASCAR is BIG business, there are certain things you don’t say unless your ready to have your head handed to you. You keep your mouth shut and move on. Not doing so ultimately follows you for ever coming up again and again. While Kyle is an extremely talented driver he has much to learn and his new employer will more than likely be keeping an overly sensitive ear open to his comments. Also, to those folks who pretend to know what was said or what the problem was with his contract at Hendricks I submit that you don’t know a thing. No one here was privy to those conversations and cannot speak intelligently concerning them. We will NEVER know the whole truth of the break up. I wish him success…he is talented, but more so I wish him a bit of humility and maturity.
If Kyle would just win about 10 races to end the season then everyone would shutup.
I doubt anyone can win 10 races to end the season, but that would shut me up
See Ya!!!
Oh I can’t wait for Kyle to get in the #8 and win all the races Dale Jr. couldn’t! HAHAHAHA! That would be sweet revenge for Kyle.
ya’ll think kyle busch is a baby holy crap look at tony stewert. if he dosen’t win a race it’s always someone elses fault
Rick Hendrick brought Jr. on for money reasons. He’s an ok driver, but not Kyle Busch. Kyles better off to leave because he could never be the top dog at HMS. He, however can win champonships with DEI, or RCR, where he will be made to feel welcome. I say look out, here Kyle comes. You might not like him, but he is the most talented younf driver Nascar has ever seen!
Jr. will never be the top dog at HMS either. He might win some races if they can make a car work for him, but thats another story.
I can’t stand Kyle Busch. I have thought he is way too immature for this level of racing.
He proved it again by his comments. I used to not like his brother, but at least he has gotten mature since going into the 2 car. I kn
I know Kyle is only 22, but there are other guys out there his age and younger that act way more mature than him. I won’t name names, but he needs to grow up. If he hates the way the sport has treated him since he entered than do us all a favor and LEAVE!
He really needs to sit down and talk to his brother. Kurt hasn’t made a complete turnaround, but he has gotten better. Kyle races on the track and acts off the track like a total JACK ___!!!!
Lets face it folks, Kyle brought this on his self. He is 22 yrs. old making millions on dollors a year driving the best cars in NASCAR and thats not good enough for him he wants more than that on his contract! AS soon as Jr. announced he was leaving DEI Kyle should have ran to rick and said “I’ll take your last offer” signed the contract and kept his mouth shut. but now he wants to cry couse he thought he was better than he is, hendricks didnt, and kicked him to the curb for someone better. I dont blame Hendricks, if I was a car owner and I put a contract in front of a driver that gave him more money a year than all of us on this thread put togather and cars that can win almost every race and compete for a championship, and he said it wasn’t enough, I would wish him luck and send him packen too. Kyle is a talented young driver and it is likely he will move on and do even better away from Hendricks but it is even more likely that he will never set in as good of equipment again in his life so for his sake I hope his talent keeps improving or in a few years he will just be a footnote in Nascar history
gkirb…that is perfectly said!
jr a better driver than bush i hardly think so i like jr and all becuase he is down to earth and a good driver but to say he is way better than kyle is a big overstatement
Being a good driver has as much to do with how you act off the track as on the track!
…No it doesn’t. That’s called the difference between being a good
driver as opposed to being a good person.
Aaaanyway. Arguing over whether Dale Jr or Kyle Busch is the more
talented between the two is a moot point. For one, both have different
driving styles and are therefore good at different things. That coming
from a Jr fan. Second of all, I highly doubt their actual talent
really factored into Hendrick’s decision. I mean, it’s Dale Jr. He
says “Hey I want to sign with you” and Hendrick’s eyes do the old
cartoon slot machine dollar sign eyes.
I ment when there not in the car but still at the track or doing things that pertain to there team, sponser or owner. Not in there personal life away from racing.
I don’t know, Kyle is a young racer who in my opionion would have been great to see JR, Johnson, & Gordon race together, I would have released Mears. Mears isn’t as aggrassive as the other drivers or hungry like them. Big mistake getting rid of Kyle
I am a big big JR fan & will stick with him where he goes But if KYLE would just seddle his mouth & driving he might be OK altho he did fit in good with gordon&johnson cry babys
gkirb how is Jr better? the money ok what else? thats right IN NOW WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!!
