In three days of testing, no Craftsman Truck Series driver could catch Roush Racing’s Travis Kvapil.
Kvapil posted the best speed in all five test sessions, including the one session Sunday as he topped the chart at 184.778 mph around Daytona International Speedway.
His Roush Racing teammates did well, too, with rookie Peter Shepherd second at 184.102 mph and Erik Darnell fourth at 182.901.
Ginn Racing development driver Kraig Kinser, driving for Morgan-Dollar Motorsports, ranked third with a speed of 182.945, while Circle Bar Racing newcomer David Starr was fifth at 182.778.
Of the 32 trucks that attended the three-day session, only 24 remained for the Sunday test, which was cut short from seven hours to a little more than five hours because of rain.
- Travis Kvapil will return to Truck Series with Roush in 2007
- Travis Kvapil may race some Cup events for Roush
- Speed to air Daytona testing shows

- SPEED to cover NASCAR practice beginning Jan. 7
