Lowe’s Chevy driver Jimmie Johnson and the Nextel Cup Series travel to Michigan International Speedway this weekend for Sunday’s 400-mile race. Johnson finished fifth and second in the last two races at Pocono and Watkins Glen. This weekend, Crew Chief Chad Knaus rejoins the team after a six-race absence.
Johnson said, “I have been proud of the team and what we have done without Chad. I think we have kept our pace up. But, we really look forward to having him back this week getting everything in line and getting ready for the Chase. I have to give our guys a lot of credit by staying focused throughout these six races.”

too bad jr. cheated and still blows poles..good call budman.
anybody wanna start a pool on how many weeks till they get caught cheating again? im thinking atleast 5. knaus will cheat before that im sure, but he wont get caught again for awhile.
did you notice how jj loses alot of his dominance when the sports biggest cheat is kept away from the track? yeah me too.
how many times has knaus been caught cheeting?
and he still gets a 6 race week suspension? knaus will always
continue to cheat as long as nacsar gives him the 6 race week
suspensions. nascar better looking at that #48 car more
closely since the chase is coming up. and jj better be looking
at new crew cheifs and replacing chad real quick.
Someone had posted that he had been suspended 7 times from the Stacy Compton days till now.
I think the count is 7 suspensions so far.
It’s on a previous thread….but I do think it was at least 7……..
