JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports to combine Busch operations in 2008
Quote selected text Published July 30th, 2007 in NASCAR News
JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports will combine the two companies’ NASCAR Busch Series operations at the conclusion of the 2007 racing season with plans to field a joint effort beginning in 2008. The partnership will campaign two full-time race cars under the JR Motorsports banner that utilize Hendrick Motorsports engines, chassis and vehicle engineering support.
Rick Hendrick will be listed as car owner of the #5 team and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be car owner of the #88. To support the operation, approximately 30 employees, including crew chief Chad Walter, will move to JR Motorsports’ Mooresville-based facility from Hendrick Motorsports’ Busch Series group in Concord. Walter will serve as crew chief of the #5 team next season.

Wow. Wonder which Busch team in ‘08 is going to be the hot team? Great news for Jr Motorsports. Seems like even if Jr isn’t getting it done on the track, he’s making all the right moves off it!
Great to see. I know they said that Hendrick was going to help Jr out with the Busch teams when they announced him joining Hendrick, but, this is even better. Wonder how the driver situation will work out.
Jeff,
Well, we can all hope that the right moves he’s starting off the track this year, will move onto the track next year when all this “what number?”, “what sponsor?” blah blah blah questions will be over and done with and he can start fresh.
Looks like he is better suited to be a car owner then a driver.
-Gasp.- Nnnooo, really?! -_- That was an easy call. Sweet deal for
JR Motorsports; wonder who the driver will be.
JR’s ‘boning’ his way to the top.
Or, in this case, Rick is doing the boning.
Who knew, use a popular slang term and all the idiots on the site
pick it up and use it for stupid jokes.
Now Broom Hilda thinks she is introducing ‘new’ terms…..
The world is a better place with you policing it.
hahahahahahaha
…use a popular slang term…
I acknowledged it’s already a popular slang term and I just used it
in passing, moron.
hahahahahahahahahaha
God. You guys are going to be pretty bored when I move and no longer
have internet in four days, aren’t you?
I don’t see what you’re laughing at, you’re the one who can’t understand
a simple comment. What I said was it’s already a widely-used word and
I just used it in passing but everyone on the site with low IQ levels,
like you, picked it up and is now making jokes with it that take no
creativity or thought whatsoever.
Party in 5 days!!!!!!!!!
Honestly Breanna and Anonymous, what you two are fighting about has absolutley nothing to do with this thread therefore go argue about you stupid stuff somewhere else
please?
Thanks
Alright maybe they can take down the bush whackers :]
Alright! Maybe they can take down the busch whackers! :]
Andy, Junior will now become a bush-whacker on a more consistant basis.
Without a full time driver in that 5 car, he will be driving it, I’m sure.
Andrew-You’re right man, sorry I didn’t just let it go. Was having a
pi__y day, I guess.
I honestly figured they’d put Mears in the 5 car for some Busch races;
he could use the extra practice the most. Has there been any word
yet on Jr keeping the 88 car running, or who’s going to be driving
it?
I heard Jeremy McGrath was Suppose to drive in Busch in 08—So maybe he will be the Driver for the #5 seeing as how he is a JR Motorspots ( Late Model )
