Jon WoodWood Brothers/JTG driver Jon Wood was treated and released from a local hospital this morning following a single vehicle accident on his way to work. Wood’s pickup truck has a modified suspension system with pneumatic air bags on the chassis.

Eyewitnesses reported that shortly after 8:00am/et this morning they witnessed a failure of his right front air bag, causing the truck to veer off the roadway into the woods. He was treated for a cut on his head and a bruising on his arm, but was released shortly thereafter.

You KNOW you are a redneck when the airbag on your ‘pick em up’ truck blows out and you crash on the side of the road.

hmm…he can (supposedly?) drive a race car, but can’t catch his truck when the right front bag fails? Then again, i ask why he was driving with the bags inflated? All they do on the street while inflated is clear big tires and waste fuel aerodynamically. Even if it was a 6″ bag, it can’t be too hard to save the vehicle especially on a straight road, yea it upset’s the toe-in and all but the sway bar is supposed to help with the body roll/drop (assuming it was still there?) and keep the truck half-way drivable. I’d be looking at speed as a factor amongst other things.

The definition of a redneck is anyone smart enough to live somewhere that you dont have to dig your car out to go to work. And no name thought he was the smart one.
