Jimmie Johnson to receive special Tissot watch as DOTY

Swiss watch brand Tissot has been chosen as the sole watch provider for the Driver of the Year Award, one of the most prestigious and highly anticipated awards in all of motorsports.
Tissot will award this year’s recipient, 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson, with a unique 18-carat gold Tissot Sculpture mechanical power reserve timepiece at the annual banquet held at the Motorsports Hall of Fame in Talladega, AL, in April.
Now in its 41st year, the Driver of the Year distinguishes itself as the oldest award in the United States.
A panel of 18 leading sports broadcasters and journalists from around the country submits a secret ballot to determine the overall winner.
