Station Casinos in Las Vegas has listed Jimmie Johnson as a 4 to 1 favorite to win the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge Saturday night at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
“Johnson has dominated not only at Charlotte, but on every similar 1.5-mile track,” said Micah Roberts, director of race and sports for Station Casinos. “So far in the three events this year on tracks that fall into that category, Johnson has two wins. The other factor that makes him such a favorite is that there simply isn’t another car that you can make a real case for.”
Odds on Jeff Gordon are 5 to 1 while Matt Kenseth, Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart are listed at 7 to 1.
According to the casino’s odds, Carl Edwards is a 3 to 1 favorite to win the NEXTEL Open with Clint Bowyer and Juan Pablo Montoya next at 5 to 1.
