Jeff Burton looks to rebound from Talladega

Team Cingular finished sixth at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in the spring. Are you confident in being able to back it up this weekend?
“The interesting thing for this race is Goodyear is bringing a different left-side tire than the one we used in the Coca-Cola 600. We’re going to have to adjust to that change. The new asphalt has now sat for five months so it won’t be the same as it was in the spring. We were also able to go to the track and test in the spring. This time we are going to Lowe’s Motor Speedway with a new tire and a track that has had time to sit so we have a lot of unknowns going into Charlotte.”
You’ve had some really great runs on the mile and a half tracks this season, just how strong is RCR’s intermediate program now?
“We feel really good but we didn’t run as well as we would have liked at California or Michigan, so we are a little bit on pins and needles about it. At the same time I believe we learned a lot at those races and can apply it this weekend in Charlotte.”
