On the week where Jarrett races for points in a Cup car for the last time, he grows a set of b@lls. (I hope that term is fine with the censors!) It’s about time DJ!! There must be a problem if this mope got involved! NASCAR sees Jarrett as an ambassador for the sport. They see Tony as a main attraction. It’s nice to see these guys banding together on a safety isue.

Well if that just isn’t a kicker! Dj speaks and everyone listen’s and it’s cool, but when Tony was speaking it was bs?? There is a problem with that picture. Just as there was a problem with a certain rainy race recently and those few drivers that complained about it, got ignored. And, here we have another safety concern and driver speaking and its ONLY being looked at now, because of well respected Dale Jarrett backing him up? Nascar really has some backwards thinking. It shouldn’t take a “certain” driver or a whole village to have things be looked into.

All I gotta say is Goodyear is gonna be paying for it now

The problem is obviously Goodyear. I’m not a Tony fan, but I am still pissed that Goodyear goes on a power trip and exempts every Toyota team from testing just b/c Tony spoke out against Goodyear. Waaaaah, Tony said our tires suck! For that, you can’t test. CRY ME A RIVER! Good to know DJ has his back.

I am glad that DJ backs Tony, now everyone can not say Tony is whining about the tires. You have Dale Jr, Tony, DJ, Kyle Busch, and others who are telling Goodyear that there tires suck! They need to listen to them!

I bet NASCAR and Goodyear are thinking that Jarretts comments are “too harsh”?

“Jarrett said the manufacturer needs to start constructing a better tire for Sprint Cup racing.”

Which is basically what Tony said… lol.

Yeah it is! Once you get DJ chiming in, and even going so far as to say that he doesn’t have a problem with what Tony said, you know there’s a problem!

George, I think you’re wrong about losing another driver. The cars and tracks are so much safer than they were even 3 to 5 years ago that I don’t think we’re going to lose anyone to a tire failure. Now, there’s still plenty of opportunity for some horrible freak thing to happen, but I don’t see it coming from tires. Seems like the drivers are all more or less aware of the tire issue, and taking it easier than usual on the track because of it.

From what we have seen with this new car good isnt good enough but what i believe happened at AMS is the tire was so hard it would get in the race track. maybe they expected warmer temps, i can only seculate about what they were thinking. The only thing for certain is if somebody doesnt get a handle on it we will lose another driver real soon.

Wait, Dale Jarrett, a respected and normally not outspoken person just agreed with Tony Stewart and says we have a problem, now more than ever Goodyear and NASCAR need to listen. This has become a safety issue and must be addressed period.
