Construction noise at Indianapolis Motor Speedway has drowned out the fact that the Indianapolis 500 will have fewer seats to offer in the future. The remake of the facility’s road circuit for next year’s motorcycle race will eliminate a bleacher section known as the First Turn Terrace, which has 5,136 seats.
That loss will reduce the total number of seats available for the oval-track configuration to 252,189, based on The Star’s findings in 2004. Track president Joie Chitwood called it ‘insignificant’ during a tour of the construction site.
- Gordon says he’ll enter the Indy 500 if he loses his NASCAR appeal
- Brickyard/Allstate 400 smallest ever
- Bristol may add more seats
- Tickets still available for Richmond Cup and Nationwide races
- Earnhardt, Jr says California expected too much attendance-wise

this is part of the infield grand stands i assume?
I hope it’s not the Brett Bodine tower!!
