If Earnhardt, Jr leaves DEI, Crew Chief Eury, Jr leaves too

If Dale Earnhardt Jr. opts to leave Dale Earnhardt, Inc. at the conclusion of the 2007 Nextel Cup season, his crew chief will follow suit.
Tony Eury Jr., Earnhardt’s crew chief and first cousin, told ESPN.com on Sunday that if Junior goes, he’ll go, too.
“Yes, [I'd go],” Eury responded when asked if he’d follow Earnhardt to a new race team.
“That’s the way I based my feelings when I decided to stay there and sign a long-term contract. I made it very specific to them that if 2007 comes and Dale Jr. decided to do something else, I’d like to have my options open to do whatever I want to do.”
Ultimately, though, Eury hopes Dale Jr. stays put.
“The best thing is to stay at DEI,” Eury said. “DEI is his Dad’s deal. [Junior] should be running the company. That’s what Dale Sr. built the company for, was for those kids to have something later on in life.
“However it turns out, it turns out. I really don’t want to get into the politics side of it with them, so I just let them handle it and we’ll figure it out from there.”

Hell if Jr. was to leave ALOT of DEI employees would be looking to go elsewhere. They would know that the teams were getting ready to become mediocre at best. Are you listening teresa?
i dont think he will leave. it would leave to many people out of a job and he would lose
out on a lot of money and he doesnt want to do that.

That settles it. Junior really DOES hold all the good cards in all of this. No matter where he goes, no matter who he races for, as long as he has Tony Jr., he’ll be good.
I think Tony is doing the right thing. If I was Tony I would leave DEI if Dale Jr. left. i dont think that Dale Jr. is going anywhere for a very long time though. DEI has been a part of his family for such a long time and I dont think that Dale Jr is going to just up and leave his father’s legacy behind. He will stay put, I just know it.

If Dale Leaves Then Eury Leaves, But Heres What Really Hurts DEI, If Dale Leaves DEI So Does His Sponsor BUDWEISER Which Will Leave DEI in Shambles, DEI Will be nothing but a MUSEUM If this happens, Pretty Shitty His Daddy Built this company For JR and That WOMAN Wants To Be Shitty About it, Dales Asking For 51% Control, Which in all reality Is Decent Of Him Leaving her 49% Control.
I would support Dale Jr. if he decides to leave if Teresa refused to allow him to carry on his daddy’s legacy. Dale made this team and I feel that he full intended to leave it for Dale, Jr. Teresa you need to back up and give Dale Jr. the right to carry on his daddy legacy. If you feel this is not right the I would hope that every one at DEI including Tony Jr. and as every one know when Dale Jr. leaves Budweiser will go with him. And beleive me that Richard Childress would be glad to feid him a car and make him shine like his father.

Hey Paul , your clueless. Daddy didnt “give him a car” , he drove Busch for RCR. And when Jr. started driving Busch he was living in a single wide house trailer. So much for living off daddys money. And if Nascar fixed everything for Jr. , then why doesnt he have any championships and not alot more victories. Oh , by the way , I’m not biased to Jr. , I’m a Roush fan , but I hate to see someone trash Jr. with stupid comments.
if dale jr is just favored by nascar because he is dales son, how come kyle petty isnt the 2nd coming of jesus, how come david pearsons son ran like 3 races and washed out, junior earned what he got and his dad is quoted as saying he wanted to build dei so his kids would have somethin, we know that if dale gets 51% he will get about 30% and kerry and kelly will get 10.5% each because dale jr will and i promise will include those 2 once the deal is done, and that leaves teresa and taylor with a 49% share even tho she will probly sell her interest to john menard if the deal goes through…i think he might be teresa’s trump card, even if junior leaves he will be throwing cash into dei’s pockets and something else into her pants…
