H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler revealed Jimmie Johnson as his selection to win Saturday night’s NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Known for his promotional flair and Karnac-type ability, Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe’s Motor Speedway, has correctly picked the winner of the All-Star Challenge 10 times in the past 18 races. He correctly selected Johnson to win the race in 2003.
Also, in an extremely unusual move, Wheeler believes a rookie will win the Nextel Open. “This will surprise a lot of people, but I’m going with Juan Pablo Montoya to win the Nextel Open,” Wheeler said.
