Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick says that Dale Earnhardt, Jr will not use the No 25 next season and that the team will not use the number next year.
“The curse of the 25, I’ve heard that so many times,” Hendrick said. “[The No. 25] meant a lot to me over the years. I think now is time for a change. I hate to see the number go, but I’m actually looking forward to having a completely clean sheet of paper going forward.”
Hendrick has used the ‘25′ since 1986, when the venerable Tim Richmond ran the number.

Lets hope he does and starts a whole NEW team next year with out any of the (25) people or the ideas of how the team was used as a mule team…
Give Dale JR a clean slate to start from with the best equipment and technology they have to offer for him.
I THIK THEY SHOULD CHOOSE THE #83 8 FOR HIS GRANDAD AND 3 FOR HIS DAD
…the #83 is taken, he’ll use the #81.
#81 is good he’s won with that number in bush
81 so I can have a one added to my old hat
Will Jr keep the 25 car’s points for next year or will he have to start over?
