Kevin HarvickKevin Harvick says it’s time for NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers to quit complaining about NASCAR’s new race car and start refraining from complaining too much in general.

“This car was not intended to drive like the ones a couple of years ago. We were supposed to put more of the driver capability back in [our] hands,” Harvick said on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway. “And if you go back a year and a half, or two years ago, a lot of the guys just wanted to keep putting downforce in the car, put downforce in the car so they could hold the thing wide open. Well that’s never been what NASCAR racing is all about.”

“If they want something they can hold wide-open, they need to go race IndyCars and ride around in a pack like that,” he said. “So, there are a lot of them that disrespect the sport week in and week out and they act like a bunch of 18-year-old punks, which most of them probably are, and they just need to grow up.

And this is a statement by someone mature? Looks like someone needs to work on his own ethics before talking to the media himself.

Wasn’t Kevin complaining last night when Ron got wrecked? Wasn’t Kevin at a time one of the biggest complainers in NASCAR? Heck go back to last year at Indy with him and Smoke (think it was last year, but not have been)

Now I know He feels like he is in the same position as Sr because he got put into Sr’s car, but at least when Sr said stuff like this he didn’t stick his foot in his mouth.

Kevin complaining about other drivers complainig is about as funny as Kyle Busch complaining about other drivers being reckless.

I guess Kevin has showed how mature he is here. It hasn’t only
been the “young” drivers complaining about the car. Tony, Jr,
Gordon, and Johnson have all complained in the past I guess they
are 18 year old punks by his definition.

maybe that wasnt technically towards JR, STEWART, GORDON,
OR JOHNSON. but towords kyle busch if u noticed every week
he complains about his car & still gets a top five……..
Kyle Busch is just a BIG complainer……..plus the reason why
Kevin got into it it kyle was kevin owns that truck & busch
had no right to wreck him…all i gotta say

I so wish I had the video from a few years back to show everyone. Johnny Sauder intentionally spins out Matt Kenseth on the final lap of a Busch race , and after the race Kennseth approached Sauder and Harvick (who was a RCR teamate with Sauder that night) jumped in Kennseths’ face and the TV microphone could hear him say “quit cryin Matt , on the final lap there are no rules”…I guess when the spinee is your car (or truck) its a different set of rules.

I think Harvick is a lil baby myself but I do respect the fact that he stands up for the Car of Today…. Nascar isnt sappose to be a walk in the park.. This car is great cause its all in the drivers hands. Yes im sure they will tweak it in the next couple of years so the racing is a lil better but I dont know im all for the COT. I think its great to see everyone wine……………. SHUT THE F UP go work a real job for 8 hours a day 5 days a week for close to no money at all then tell me how hard the car drives… HA yeah right they would be running to that car. I cant wait for the NationWide series to come out w there version of the COT thats going to be pimp…. NASCAR NATION ALL THE WAY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

WAY TO GO JR HE WON TODAY

Harvick is just one of the many who are fed up with kyle Busch and his way of driving! I don’t blame him a bit…although i am not a big fan of his…he deserves to be angry at the schrub! Someday someone is going to teach that “punk” a lesson and I hope I get to see it. He has very few friends out there on the track and he is getting fewer and fewer off the track too!
