Hamlin injured in off track incident, will race at Darlington

Just when Denny Hamlin thought things couldn’t get any worse, he fell hard on his left hip playing basketball and could hardly walk when he arrived Monday for testing at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
“I’d like to say I was going up for a dunk, but I think everybody knows that ain’t true,” Hamlin said. “When I went up, the person was lower than I was and I kind of clipped over his shoulder and I was horizontal to the ground — that was bad. It popped and it doesn’t feel good at all. I couldn’t lay on it last night, and it ain’t getting much better.”
The injury came roughly 24 hours after Hamlin led a record 381 of the first 382 laps at Richmond International Raceway, only to lose a coveted win on his hometown track when he cut his right front tire. He had to intentionally stop his car on the track to bring out the caution needed to head to pit road for a tire change.

I’m sure the Jr. fans will say they put a curse on him, I cant wait to hear what the Jr. Nation has to say, it will go something like this
Well we put banana peels down on the court so he would slip and not be any competition for Jr this weekend at Darlington, Jr really needs a win so were eliminating the competition one by one .
i think its hilarious

Sounds to me like your trying to get Jr. Nation started on this one. I just thought it was funny that he got hurt off track again (remebering the incident with the hauler). He reminds me of my friends, always getting hurt. Now, don’t any of you take it the wrong way, I’m not bashing Denny, I like Denny, I just find it amusing. But I am sorry that he’s in pain. That sucks.
thats funny Howie, you should have been a comedian instead of a photographer, oh and thanks for the pictures of Kyle in Victory Lane and the one of Tony, I got them this morning, they are awesome.
Karma’s a ………..
l0l
It’ll be funny if Denny totally dominates the race this weekend and for most of the race Jr is in second but like 5 seconds behind l0l
fisha beat me too it. Karma my friends… plain and simple

that would be funny if Denny could pull off a win this weekend but I think Jeff Burton will take the checkers first here at Darlington.

Wrong again Shutter-bug,,, you should take your act on the road or better yet in the middle of the road.
Oh sorry you are on the road chasing after the real drivers…
Tell me Howdy, What turned you into a JR hater. Did the big bad crew men chase you out of Jr’s pits one day for being a pest and you said to your self, self I don’t like JR anymore and ran away crying.
That must be it, or… your just jellious of someone so well liked for being a decent person.
OOP’S SORRY,
I got all tied up responding to Howdy Dootys crap that I forgot to say that I hope Denny Hamlins injury is not as bad as he thought and he will be able to drive in this weekends race…

And unlike you we act grown up. “i can call or talk to them anytime i want” What are you 5?
Soo you still didn’t answer the question.
I will repeat it for you: Why did you turn into a JR hater and always cut him down and act like you have no respect for him or is it because you feel you have to say immature crap about him to get attention to your pathetic existence…
What do you think Dale Senior would say about you if he was still here. Better yet what will Dale JR and his crew think of you when they see the crap you spout about them ???
Still think you would be so welcome in his pit then.
Well Howdy Doody come on back with your lyies about how great you are in the pits…
Oh and I don’t chase people down in the pits like you , I have a pass when ever I need it.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to think that you added to this blog because you were in the pits at the race with the drivers.
Now, I think you are just a trouble maker! You want to stir the pot! Is that your idea of being a proffesional.
I am starting to doubt that you even knew SR!

First of all, you will never find a statement of mine on any of Kenneth’s posts where I say anything bad about any driver. and you can go back as far as you want.
Second, just because I talk about Jrs fans , that does not reflect on the way I feel about Dale Jr.most of the media feel the same way I do about the Jr. Nation and that includes the sanctioning body.
Third, if Sr. was alive right now he would have his shoe up Jrs butt for the way he has acted in the last 13 months.

If Sr was alive most of those thing would not have happened! Jr would still be at DEI!
Howie motorsports photography wrote:
I gotta agree, You have been fairly neutral about any and all drivers, the fans on the other hand you attack, and you should. I am a die hard Jr fan but I would NEVER throw my beer cans at gordon like some, or some other antics that Jrs fans have done
As for WWSD (what would Sr do) if he was still here… we cant even speculate
chances are he would have 8 championships under his belt (at least) Jr would still be driving a DEI number 8 car (or maybe the number 3 if Sr retired)
Chances are Jr would have at least 1 championship by now
we could go on and on about what it would be like if Sr was still here, but thats not gonna bring him back, no matter how much we want him here.
And actually, I dont think Dale thinks of the Jr. Nation as his most loyal fans either, because last season JR Motorsports had to deal with his fans after they send letters and called DEI and did everything they could to harrass Teresa about Dale leaving. and Dale had to have a press coference just to tell his fans to leave her alone. so if that is how you as fans of him act, then you are not true fans.and it shows on here as well as at the track.

He only attacks the fans because JR> fans attack everyone else, it was the same when Jeff Gordon came into the sport, Dale SR fans attacked Gordon the same way. its one thing to be a fan of a driver but some fans go overboard like the can throwing Saturday night. they make JR look bad just like the ones on here that do it. its one thing to make a statement but to disagree with everything that is written on here against JR is ridiculous. I like Kyle and you dont see me writing things like that guy JAG> he has nothing good to say ever.
I didn’t know there was “clipping” in basketball! LMAO!
I’m just going to put my period on all this (healthy discussion) of last night.
First I will say to “Editor Kenneth” Sorry for going over board with the off topic BS…
To Howie: Your constant snide remarks on Dale JR & his fans bring out the worst in them and you are
well aware of what you are doing. You can profess your innocence all you want but when
you post the first response with such a baited line as you did above…. well then you get
what you deserve.
Dustin: He said in the 2nd response he felt you were trying to start something and he was dead on
right, wasn’t he…
Ganjadude: your responce to what Dale Sr. might have thought is as close to true as we will ever
know.
Dang, I bet he stopped on the field to and got run over !!
Karma is a bitch.
Dugouts help Hamlin as do Pits
Hopefully Denny will have a speedy recovery. Perhaps we should refer to him as Lee Harvey Oswald
for all of the conspiracy theorists.
If you all believe so much in Karma… what did Dale Jr. do to deserve being involved in the
racing incident that happened in Richmond? Wait… maybe it was when he took Kyle out at the
beginning of the race in Kansas last season during the Chase. Anyone remember that one??
Disclaimer: I have nothing against any of the drivers… with the exception of JPM and brother Kurt.
I DO have a hard time understanding fans who look at their drivers through rose-colored glasses.
you guys are funny! your nit picking like a bunch of old people or maybe sum 5 year olds.
