Haas CNC Racing names Mayfield’s number, crew chief

Haas CNC Racing officials have announced that Dave Skog will be the crew chief for the team’s No. 66 entry that Jeremy Mayfield will drive in 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup competition.
The team had previously announced that Mayfield and Scott Riggs would drive for the organization in 2008, and Mayfield drove the No. 66 in the final four races of the season, but the team had not said which driver would pilot which car next season.
Skog, 41, who previously led Haas CNC’s engineering department takes over from Harold Holly as the team looks to improve on its 31st-place finish in the 2007 owners points. This will be a reunion of sorts for Skog and Mayfield since the pair worked together in the same roles on the Evernham Motorsports’ No. 19 in 2002.

Who cares? I just know Sauter and Green got screwed!
Yes, Sauter and Green may have gotten screwed…….
But if anyone knows the Mayfield history……SO DID HE….. From Penske to Evernham.
So I say Jeremy go for it with this team and prove that you are deserving of a driving JOB.
I concur, Wayne, I’m anxious to see what he can do, as well as Scott Riggs (this is sort of a ruiniting too as they were teamates before).
