Now that Robby Gordon has had his Sprint Cup points reinstated through his successful appeal, he is no longer considering running the Indy 500 before the Coca Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend.
“It was more of a fact if we’re on the outside of the top 35, we really weren’t going to have a shot at making the Chase in 2008, we needed to do something big. Let’s go try to win Indy or something. That’s the pure racer coming out in me that wants to succeed. That deal is off.”

Haha just because he got his 100pts back doesn’t mean that he’s going to be in the top 35 when Indy rolls around! There’s still plenty of time to screw up and be outside looking in… NASCAR only hands out the starting positions, not the finishes, Robby!
