Robby Gordon said Friday that he’s moving closer to adding a second team for 2008. “When we have runs like this, it entices people to come and look at our organization,” said Gordon after qualifying second for the Save Mart 350.
“We’re a single-car effort, but we can compete with these guys. We proved that, when for the last three weeks, we’ve been a top-15 car every week. And if we can run in the top 15, the door’s going to open up and we’ll find ourselves in victory lane.” Gordon also said he expects to move into his new headquarters for Robby Gordon Motorsports in late September.

Great! Robbie is going to give us another car from his “world class” team to spew debris and DNF every race. Thank you, Robbie!
3 weeks of top 15 races gives this dude enough confidence to expand his operations?!?! What a joke. All we need is another field filler.
I cant help but disagree with you Axel. The past 3 years
has been nothing but struggles, and robby realizes that he
needs another team to share notes and make both more competitive.
It is amazing what he has been able to accomplish by himself.
I do respect that he is the owner of his own team, but I’m very skeptical of any improvements that will come from this. I’ll try to keep an open mind about it though.
I just hope it isn’t his butt buddy PJ Jones.
