To all those saying how Jeff Gordon is crying about it…
I think its because he is the only one willing to stand up and say something about it..
I mean, this may be a far reached comparison
but when you start tweaking and twisting cars and components for maximum
speed, you jeapordize the safety of the driver…
Just look at the death of Ayrton Senna in 1994 if you needed an example

everyone stop crying….. nothing ever makes people satisfied in this sport. I love what Nascar is doing and if they see nothing wrong go with it…. Mr crybaby Gordon you can do the same with your car and from what you said you did and couldnt drive it so oh well whats the big deal. Carl has more talent with his car setup like that and hes not cheating so shut up and race. God I love Nascar but I hate how some drivers just cry cry cry me a river when its not going there way. Be men and swallow your losing streak pill and shut the f up already. Im so happy to see Gorden and Johnson struggle…. and JR keep taking the Hendrick spotlight away from those 2 no personality cry babies. Howie how do you know that the NASCAR R&D dept don’t know about it?

It’s something that just about all oval track cars take advantage of, you mess with the off-set or the twisting of the rear-end to (depending on the track/surface/class) either create more downforce (as in this case) or help the car rotate through the turns better (as in our case)

Something I think maybe the teams should look at to play with (unless it says they can’t in the rule books) is the wing and if it has to be level across its surface (from left to right), or can they maybe have the left side of the wing higher by 2 degrees to create more downforce.

They have to adjust and tweak this new car somehow. I thought they were pretty limited as it was. So where exactly do you draw the line, and how much further can NASCAR possibly step in?

I really haven’t since that on Edward’s car yet, however I have noticed during the qualifying show there are a couple more cars that do look like they are going sideways down the straightaway include the #12 Ryan Newman, I shouldn’t be able to read a little of Altellgoing down the staightaway.

I will check that out Saturday night when the they run off going in turn 1, the TV cameras have a shoot of it.

Our Modified is kinda like that, but we have it set up like that to help us turn better because the racing groove on the track is almost a perfect circle.

But unless NASCAR has a rule that says the car is supposed to have perfect tracking, then there is nothing illegal about the car.
