First, Roger Penske announced he was planning to build a NASCAR test track near his shops in Mooresville, NC. Now, fellow car owner Bobby Ginn says he plans to build a NASCAR test track, probably a 11/2-miler, somewhere in South Carolina.
And the new owners of Virginia International Raceway (VIR), the road course near Danville, are considering adding a flat track specifically for NASCAR’s Nextel Cup testing.
- Gordon, Biffle, Newman to test Darlington today
- Don’t expect Southern 500 back at Darlington
- All 4 court cases against Ginn dismissed
- Nemechek’s car to honor Charleston fallen firefighters
- Rockingham to hold open test, fans welcome

This is why I think Jr. will end up with Ginn. The man has resources and if he can build a test track then it’s a pretty good bet he can build Jr. some awesome race cars…
Yep , thats what me thinks also.
i do think yehh hes building it for his team but also to try to shove infront of the others to get jr
I thought for sure RCR was a lock for Jr. but Ginn is showing his commitment, and I can
see Jr race for him now, kinda reminds me of Earnhardt(I refuse to say Sr) first drivin for
Richard back in the day.
Yes…he is really trying to reel in Dale Jr now…
Yep Jayson Childress was just a startup team when Big E signed with him. Ginn’s build the best, get the best attitude puts me in mind of Childress back then.
I love where Ginn’s head is at… I wish every team owner had the same mindset.
