Ganassi looks to expand to four cars, Wheldon to move from IRL?

Owner Chip Ganassi said he would like to expand his Nextel Cup stable to four teams by as early as next season, if he can secure sponsorship. Dan Wheldon, who drives for Ganassi’s IndyCar team attended the Daytona 500 and has been fitted for a seat in a Busch car, is intrigued by the possibility.
”It would be perfect, right?” Wheldon said this week. “Chip has to let me try the NASCAR first, so I can see if I like that. That would be something I would definitely consider. I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure I can take the [IndyCar] title back from Sam [ Hornish Jr.]. If I do that, and I’m able to win the Indianapolis 500, it would be very hard to say no to a [Cup] opportunity like that. I’ve got to do that and have that opportunity presented to me before I can make a decision.”

Why Chip? Get your 3 teams running well then look to start another team. Come on Chip, Dan Wheldon? Come on Chip get those Dodges running man. Give Sterling a call.
that’s too bad. hornish is going to run his 2nd busch race soon. or it could have been today… anyway, i was hoping dan would go the OTHER WAY in the PROPER direction to formula 1. i know a lot of open wheel drivers don’t have success in nascar, however dan is a damn good racecar driver. he’s a racer and he’ll be good.
