Furniture Row Racing officials say the team is working on the final details of a three-year contract with driver Joe Nemechek. Nemechek took over the team’s #78 at California Speedway in September.
With the team outside the top 35 in owners points, Nemechek qualified his way into six consecutive races before failing to make the field for the last two. The organization is also seeking sponsorship to start a second team to run at least a limited schedule in the series.

If anyone can save this team it’s Joe
Remember Joe and Harvick fighting in the infield a couple of years ago. Joe said Harvick “ain’t squat”. Joe, who’s in the Chase again and who will never be in it? Derrike Cope laughs at guys like you.
They beat up Kenny Wallace. Then they went to HMS motors. Joe is just another body. Same results no matter who drives for them or what motors they use. You can’t make chicken salad with chicken sh*t.
