Friday’s practices were completely washed out at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, forcing NASCAR to delay Saturday’s NASCAR Nextel Cup qualifying to 4:05 p.m. EDT Saturday in order to allow teams a practice session in the morning.
Teams will practice from 8:30 to 11 a.m. EDT Saturday morning, then qualify in the afternoon. The cars will be impounded following that session, meaning they cannot be altered prior to Sunday’s Allstate 400 at the track.
