They have a long racing tradition and are obviously interested in racing in America or they wouldn't be powering the IRL and racing in the ALMS, Grand Am, etc... Then again, like the article says, they use their track experience to further their consumer car development, and carburated 350ci motors and big wings isn't going to do that. I don't see VW getting involved in cup at all, regardless of the motor package. Just doesn't seem like a good fit for some reason. I could definitely see Nissan bringing the Titan to CTS. Actually I'm really surprised that they haven't done it yet. It's built in Mississippi and they have a V8 platform to build on.
