Evernham close to partnership deal with Canadiens owner

Montreal Canadiens owner George N. Gillett is close to a partnership arrangement with Evernham Motorsports.
Gillett, who also is the owner of the Liverpool soccer team in the English Premier League, would be the second major sports team owner to join NASCAR this season, following Red Sox owner John Henry’s buy-in to what is now Roush Fenway Racing.
