Eury Sr. replaces Ward as JR Motorsports’ crew chief

JR Motorsports officials announced Tuesday that Tony Eury Sr. would take over as crew chief of the No. 88 Busch Series Chevrolet driven by Brad Keselowski.
The team said it chose not to renew the contract of former crew chief Wes Ward, who has been given the “opportunity to pursue other options.”

I agree fully! If anyone can get Brad to victory lane it would be Pops!
I’ve always like Tony Sr. and don’t hold anything against him in the least,
however this is merely nepitism at its finest.
many years ago, Dale Senior asked Tony Sr. to “make a race car driver” out
of “Junior” when he first began driving - but after nearly a dozen
years, Junior still isn’t accomplished, nor can he drive consistent.
That’s Junior’s fault though - not Tony Sr’s fault.
The only think this “switch-a-roo” demonstrates is that Junior has/is
“firing” yet another decent person in less than six months…
This time - it’s for the purpose of setting-up “Uncle Tony” with a nice,
cushy job position…
Tony Sr. may be a good man - but this continues to demonstrate what
an absolute ass Dale Junior is…
