Eury, Jr likely to join Earnhardt, Jr at Hendrick

Ford Racing and other sources have reported that Tony Eury, Jr. is likely to leave DEI and join Dale Earnhardt Jr. at Hendrick Motorsports next season.
Nothing is confirmed at this point but it seems pretty clear that Dale Earnhardt, Jr has a strong desire to see this happen so expect Hendrick to do what it takes to bring Jr’s crew chief to the team.

NOOOOOO! Eury is part of the problem not the solution, he is a great body man and was good in his role as car chief, but he has never proved himself as a capable consistent crew chief. guys like bootie barker, chad knauss, matt borland, ray evernham, guys who grew up around the sport but have an engineering background are where its at, as far as being in race tacticians and being more precise on adapting to changes. I hope hendrick leaves gustafson with jr or brings in a bootie barker or someone like that. Anyone noticed how well jr and the rest of the dei guys are doing since eury left and is just building cars at the shops?

Eury jr will fit perfect with hendrick,,,especially the way he likes “work” the gray area on the COT,,,him and knauss should be great friends,,,maybe one day they could be suspension buddies.
fleet, you have no idea what your talking about, chad knauss are so far above his level its not even funny.
They both know how to get suspended,,,both know how to break the rules,,what else do I need to know.

If Jr wants Eury, Jr with him, it’s for good reason.

Well, this is good i guess? i’m no Jr fan but i think that since Eury and Knaus both now have a shady history (Knaus always has) idk, i do know that now Hendrick has 4 possibly 5 of the best crew chiefs in the buisness that being Steve Letarte, Chad Knaus, Darian Grubb, Tony Eury Jr. and Possibly Alan Gustafson doing something else?
this is so cool, at least they can keep the family togather, since tony and dale jr. are cousins, chalk another one up for hendricks.
chad and tony get paid to cheat! the only time you hear about it or care is when they get busted. but for me to hear that tony is going to move with jr thats cool! if that doe3s not work get a new crew chief
Tony Jr. may not be some college engineering grad but I’ll bet that when he gets around the Hendrick bunch he will soak up all that technical stuff and put some good old common sense in with it. This would definitely cut down on the learning curve for Dale. Those two can communicate, and they have chemistry or in this case Blood, that is their common bond. I think it would be a good move for both Jr.’s.
It will take him a little bit to get used to the setups but dale jr needs tony to keep him pumped up and in check at the same time so it’s all good.
