Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Friday will announce a personal services agreement with clothing manufacturer adidas, sources told ESPN.com. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sources said adidas will manufacture Earnhardt’s fire retardant driving suits and shoes, and the Nextel Cup star will be involved in promoting specific consumer apparel. Earnhardt has yet to announce the biggest piece of his sponsorship puzzle for 2008 — the primary financial-backer of his Hendrick Motorsports Chevy.

Come on Budweiser step up and write that check to stay on as the main sponser. and Dei Free the 8
won’t help him win races.
puma must of run outa money.
DEI would be STUPID to give up the 8 because then they give up the owners points which would
make anyone who drives it next year start the first 5 races no matter where the finish.
No other driver with only 17 cup wins and no championships would be signing a deal like
this or be as popular. His dad got me in NASCAR because everything he got he earned with
hard work and results(and during the 2nd and final year he didn’t win a race, aka 97). Jr doesn’t have anywhere near the same success but he’s more
popular than say a 4 time champ in Gordon(I can’t stand gordon but it is the truth) and
2 time champ Stewart. If he had any other last name I would bet money that he wouldn’t
be as popular.
Oh well, Jayson!!! His Dad got me in Nascar also and I like Jr. just the same…..He is popular…………and will continue to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
adidas making a fire suit? hmm…i’d rather stick with ‘impact’ thank you very much.
He’s only popular because of his last name.. thats it..
Good for Jr! The ones who bash him are just haters and jealous.
Ok Jayson, DEI would not lose owners points if they lost the #8, owners points belong to a team, not a number. They can change the numbers and still hold owners points from the last season. Also Steve, Impact ins’t the only company capabile of making a firesuit, most drivers’ suits are made by other companies like alpinestars and puma
my fave gym shoes and my fave driver!!!you go jr…
Well Cody in that case, then she should sell because that would be the only reason i’d say keep it.
Hey Hot Rod Todd, Puma makes WAY more money than Adidas!
