Earnhardt, Jr ready to make a trade for a win at Martinsville

“Martinsville is a place where I think I’ve improved as much or more than at any other track since I joined the Cup series. Our first few races here, it was like a circus. We were flying through the air and smashing into about everything. It’s funny now, but at the time it was agonizing and frustrating. We hadn’t run there in the Busch Series, so it was a huge learning curve. Then it was like turning on a light switch - the crew gave me some great cars, we started qualifying really well and rang-up five straight top-five finishes. Now, I’m surprised when we don’t run in the top-five.”
“It’s a lot like when we go to Richmond or Talladega - we walk in the track and we just expect to be up front. I wondered if things would change with the Car of Tomorrow, but we went in there and led a lot of laps in the spring race (the Bud team earned the 10 bonus points for most laps led in April, heading the field for 137 laps). The thing that’s missing? That’s easy to see. We’ve had a lot of really good days but we’ve never been able to close the deal. I’d be really happy to trade all of those laps led and those top-fives and all of the Martinsville hot dogs I’ve eaten in the past for a win there this week.”

I was at the spring martinsville race..and it was heartbreaking to see the rains come…and even more heartbreaking that they didnt stay…I beleive without the rain, you had the field covered and when it let up, the groove you ran was washed out. I just got back from the Charlotte race this past weekend, and I would do anything to see you rebound nicely and take home the Checkered at Martinsville..Good Luck the rest of the year in that Budweiser #8 and even more Good Luck in the #88 Amp Energy HMS Car for 2008+!!
I agree.
And Good luck to Junior this weekend, hope he can
cash in a win!
I agree to.
Best of luck this weekend,if anyone can win it’s you. So go out
there and win!!!!!
HERE’S HOPING FOR A BIG WIN THIS WEEK-END..BEST OF LUCK SENT
OUT TO YOU. CANT WAIT TO “GO GREEN’!!!
I don’t think Jr. will win until he gets out of the DEI cars they aren’t going to let him. I heard someone Bit**ing about the the green colors for next season but just think about a black T with the green car in the middle. That will be awesome. Can’t wait for Daytona and the maiden voyage of the 88. Kick some azz Jr.
I hope he wins one for his dad, before he leaves DEI. I think he will do much better at HMS, but it is unfortunate that he has to leave DEI.
