Dale Earnhardt, JrDale Earnhardt Jr. won’t renew his membership in the Gillette Young Guns program next year as he seeks to refine his endorsement strategy, Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Daily reports.

The razor company is in the process of formulating plans for 2007 and is not expected to make an announcement on changes until February at Daytona International Speedway, staff writer Michael Smith reports.

The Young Gun program this year included Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Jamie McMurray and Carl Edwards.

From sources I have found that upon Jrs. exit of the program two new candidates have been selected and agreed to the program. This has been proven factual, but theres a little buzz on the two drivers but top sources name Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon.
